Svenske Malin Nilsson og Foreign Affair vinder af Prix Sct. Georg Special i Hagen / Swedish Malin Nilsson and Foreign Affair winner of Prix Sct. Georg Special today in Hagen (UK version below)

Just the 12 best direct for final qualification

With a starting list of a total of 26 starting combinations it became a very long afternoon. The top was always worth an experience.

Today's winner was well-deserved Swedish Malin Nilsson with the 7-year-old Foreign Affair by Rock Forever / Scandic. Malin is part of the team at Patrik Kittel´s team.

Malin rides a super nice test with the timing in the top. Lots of positive power and suppleness combined with nice shape. The trot shows very nice swing and expression, today's best marching extended walk combined with a clear rhythm for collected walk and good pirouettes. The canter pirouettes are good, and it is clear that Malin knows exactly what she can ask from Foreign Affair at the moment. Nice to see a young horse with flying changes with so much quality. Clear push of the ground with power and smooth beautiful through. Great series. The only small thing is the halt with rein back, which is the core "exercise" of this Prix Sct. Georg Special program. This exercise becomes a bit tense, but nice forward riding in medium trot towards the final halt. 74.634%

No. 2 not unexpected Anabel Balkenhol. She shows the 8-year-old Crystal Friendship by Fidertanz / De Vito (full brother of licensed stallion Foundation) in a beautiful form. Crystal Friendship seems to enjoy the entire presentation in the arena. Pricked ears from start to finish, and not that many adjustments along the test, just "steer and ride". But It is still a bit of a challange with the balance of the canter pirouettes, as Crystal Friendship has a huge canter.

No. 3 stallion Abegglen by Ampere / Carabas with Marcus Hermes comes into the arena and seems a little to excited for the job. But Marcus is totally in control, and Abegglen is showing light and easy trot, with easy contact and great suppleness. The walk tour is somewhat difficult as Abegglen is both on his toes and does look as if he brings walk with some limited quality. In the canter, the quality is back at a high level, and Marcus Hermes shows the stallion in a beautiful way.

No. 4 is the elegant dancing mare Soiree d'Amour by San Amour / Latimer with routined rider Kira Wulferding in the saddle. Super light contact, lots of expression and quality during the trot tour. Good walk where Kira seems to be totally aware of not letting too much go for the extended walk. The canter is still a bit hot, but Kira maintains the balance and overview for the series, while the pirouettes lack a little more clear canter and the change after the first pirouette is not clear shown.
