A pleasure to watch - true champions

A grey sky and pretty much rain this morning for the final individual young riders at Roosendaal today.

Last year this combination were also true champions at the Europeans in Valencia, and this year they just step up from juniors last year to young riders, being even more impressive.

The more demanding test at young rider level does really fit the 10-yr-old Carlos by Carabas/Weltmeyer, and Hannah´s timing for the entire test just makes the champion picture. Easy contact, good power and lovely expression for all three paces for today´s test, just a single small lack of balance in the middel of the short medium trot at the first short diagonal. From there a "spot on" test = 77,658%.

Silver also goes to Germany´s Anna-Christina Abbelen with First Lady, while Dutch Jasmien de Koeyer with Esperanza takes the bronze.

4th place is Danish Warmblood mare Geisha by Gribaldi with Semmieke Rothenberger. They delivered a solid test without any technical errors, but Geisha compared to Carlos is missing a bit more lightness in the contact and for the canter pirouettes and the series the final expression is lacking a bit.

Gonna be an exciting freestyle final tomorrow.
