VIDEO - Springbank VH og Carina Nevermann Torup vinder Prix Sct. Georg

Large framed and long legged colt. At the dam line all mares are with passed performance tests and graded at main stud book, and the dam has produced three horses classified at M-level. This colt is very well moving with expression and suppleness in both trot and canter with nice freedom and natural knee action. Also the walk is supple with good spaciousness. The sire is the new World Champion for Young Horses Revolution, and the dam sire is Heslegård’s Rubin (that's why the colt will have the lovely grey color for the future). Rubin has produced a lot of Grand Prix horses, among them Mai Tofte Olesens international Grand Prix partner Rustique. This is a special boy by the World Champion Revolution.

A noble, long legged og well moving colt, with nice stallion expression and with a very strong performance pedigree. His dam Møllegårdens Kabaret is an elite RDH mare, and has through the years delivered a huge amount of very well moving and successful sport horses, among them Møllegårdens Pas Partout by Don Primero sold at elite foal auction for 400.000 Danish kroner (about 50.000 euros), Tailormade Attention by Abanos as became Premium stallion and at that time most expensive foal at the elite auction sold for 500.000 Danish kroner (about 67.000 euros), and Møllegårdens Sunrise by Sunny-Boy qualified for the final at Danish national federation championship for young horses. The sire Florenz is under education by German Rieke Schneider, and he has more times been qualified for the Bundeschampionate.

Harmonious, long legged and extremely elegant with super confirmation, with a very rare pedigree, as his dam is full sister of the top star of Danish Warmblood triple World Champion for Young Horses and top foal producer Sezuan. This combination with Franklin looks like a dream combination, as the colt shows superb gaits with active hind legs and lovely smooth knee action. Very appealing type and harmony that just stands out. One of this collections most attractive foal with a very special dam.

The foal is an embryo foal.

422 – Netstutteriets Fazza by Franklin x Blue Hors Zack x Blue Hors Don Schufro

The top foal producer Franklin has sired this magnificent colt foal whose dam is a full sister of the only stallion in the world that holds the title “triple world champion for young dressage horses” Sezuan. On the dame side of this outstandingly beautiful and elegantly moving colt foal you find some of the most successful sires of modern dressage horse breeding, Blue Hors Zack and Blue Hors Don Schufro both of which both appear on the Rolex WBFSH ranking. The dam has produced several international sport horses.

During the past 25 years the Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction has steadily grown into a substantial success; not only for the breeders who have achieved good prices for their foals but even more so for the customers who have purchased foals that have grown into talented and successful sport horses.

Leading breeders support the Elite Foal Auction
Danish Warmblood is widely known for breeding high-quality dressage horses that are among the best in the world, and we believe that this year’s collection of 44 dressage foals exceeds the expections of our customers leaving them a wide range of absolute top foals with powerful presence og promising pedigrees to choose between.

– We are very grateful that many of the leading breeders in Danish Warmblood have chosen to sell their foals on the Elite Foal Auction. Thanks to the breeders we are able to present this unique collection that we believe will attract buyers from wide and far, says Louise Ringsbo, head of the auction.
In terms of bloodlines the dressage foals represent some of the strongest and most successful dam lines of Danish breeding, and on top of this you find some of the most popular and current sires like top foal producer Franklin who has nine foals in the collection which also counts foals by the new world champions for young horses, 5-year-old Revolution and 6-year-old D'Avie, as well as sires like Blue Hors Don Olymbrio, Blue Hors Fifty Cent, Blue Hors Hotline, Blue Hors Zackerey, Bøgegaardens Santiago, Florenz, Floriscount, Foundation, Franziskus, Freischütz, Hesselhøj Donkey Boy, Quantensprug, Quaterhit, Romeo, Sandro Hit, Scolari, Sir Donnerhall I, Valverde og Valløs Dreaming Marong.

Cosmo and Sönke very strong back on track for today's Grand Prix Special at Donaueschingen

Screen Shot 2018-08-19 at 19.14.32.png

84,362% for today's Grand Prix Special did really bring back Cosmo and Sönke from yesterday's Grand Prix. (video can be found at H2R FB site).

I was an absolute different picture from yesterday's tense Grand Prix till today's supple and obedient Grand Prix Special.

After the test father Sven Rothenberger also said to Dressursport Deutschland about Sönke´s ride:  "So clever ridden and so much with the head, and there is still more to get, but today's ride was fully as planned".

Lots of power and suppleness and most of all a fully concentrated Cosmo today. Seen from the side line the walk could have been with a bit more freedom and relaxation, and the trot half passes with a bit more bend and suppleness.

Also the team coach was a part of today's preparations as it was clearly not the way they wanted the test to be shown like yesterday, so the plan from Monica Theodurescu was clear just to walk around the arena today before entering, not fully agreed by Sönke as he rather wanted to trot before entering - but plan succeeded.

So right now the picture is again clear for both Werth and Rothenberger direction Tryon as the two last spots still are open, and for sure a hard battle between Helen Langehanenberg, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Dorothee Schneider. Helen Langehanenberg and Damsey FRH will do a final Grand Prix next week in Münster, while Dorothee Schneider lately had a visit from Theodurescu and Johnny Hilberath has seen Dalera BB at training - all horses look good is the last message from the German team trainers.

Still a bit more than a week before final German decision is made for the team for Tryon.

Finals at Pavo Cup today

4 year old

Test rider Stefanie Wolf gave a 10 for Helgstrand Dressage stallion Jovian, and after her ride she said:

"It don't feel like I sit on a 4 year old horse, I don't know if it goes even better in this age. Totally balanced, on a long rein you can do transitions, give the reins retake the reins he is immediately up and really powerful, of course the gaits you saw it before already the trot and canter is really really huge, but it is so easy and nice to ride also for such a big horse, I was so comfortable but I think you could all see it - he was really nice."

Not the best rehearsal for Cosmo and Sönke Rothenberger before WEG

CDI4 Grand Prix Donaueschingen

The quite small arena does make some of the horses a bit on the toes, and for one of Germany's absolute top combinations this event was for sure ment to be a bit of a test before going to Tryon next month. The couple has not been at start since they won the German Championship in Balve back in June, as they were surprisingly also not at the team for CHIO Aachen this year. From the sideline it looked like a kind of tactical move not showing the form for the audience and not least up against the competitors before WEG.

From the entering halt you could clearly see that it looked like a kind of handfull for Sönke. And it was also a conservative first diagonal with the extended trot, some big eyes for the short side before going into the first half pass to the right, where you felt that Sönke still had a lot to do to keep Cosmo focused about the job, and from the transition to half pass to the left Cosmo discovered something in direction H, spins around and overturns the fence and steps outside the arena with the hind legs. Sönke manage to get Cosmo back on track, but they never get the real connection with harmony and lightness for today´s test. Eventhough Sönke manage to show strong passage, piaffe and transitions, clear series and good pirouettes. The walk is somewhat tense and without suppleness and freedom, like the zig-zag canter becomes a struggle and with errors. 76,196%.

Isabell Werth and Weihegold OLD ones again shows their routine together and winning with impressive 82,652%. Today it looks like a bit as if Weihegold is not 100% responding to the half halt coming back from extended trot tours, as it looks like she becomes a bit in the hand of Werth instead of responding from first step.

Also Jessica von Bredow-Werndl having a challenge with her mare Zaire, as the surroundings seem to affect the concentration a bit sometimes during the test today. They finish as no 2 with 76,413%.

Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction - todays focus on foals by Franklin, Hesselhøj Donkey Boy and Freischütz

When next Saturday´s Elite Foal Auction comes up at Vilhelmsborg in Denmark it will be with a huge collection of top individuals from the best Danish breeding lines combined with some of Europes best stallions.

Today's FOCUS foals from H2R are:

Masculine colt, with correct confirmation, super expressive and with a strong top line. He is a combination of strong dressage stallions, Franklin, Ferro, Flemmingh and Michellino, and by the dam line also with a small valuable Holsteiner influence. He shows three excellent gaits with both push from behind and knee action, including a super walk. Expression and power for a future breeding- and riding horse.

This colt is long legged, with uphill frame and very nice expression. The breeding line is mainly with horses showing good results in the sport at high level. The colt shows three very good energetic gaits, with good balance, action from behind with good uphill tendency in both trot and canter and clear and supple walk. The sire Hesselhøj Donkey Boy is rewarded with a gold medal in Danish Warmblood. Last year he won bronze at World Championships for Young Horses, and this year he was placed at no 5 in the final in Ermelo. A stallion which shows great ride ability and at the same time he stamps his offsprings positive. Grandfather Blue Hors Don Schufro does not need further introduction.

Elegant and long legged colt. He is big framed and harmonious and very functional with lots of suppleness and lightness for both trot and canter, with an extraordinary good balance. The walk is in a good rhythm. The sire Freischütz was just one season at Helgstrand Dressage before he was sold to Luxembourg. With Blue Hors Zack as damsire it looks like you get the nobility and lightness as you wish for from today’s breeding- and sports horses.

British rider wins Freestyle to scoop second gold medal in two weeks; Germany takes team and Grand Prix titles

Exciting British newcomer, Charlotte Fry (22), posted her second sensational victory of the past two weeks when winning today’s Freestyle at the FEI European Dressage U25 Championships 2018 in Exloo, The Netherlands. Just 12 days ago the Dutch-based Yorkshire rider, who trained with British legend Carl Hester during her teenage years, claimed the 7-Year-Old title with Glamourdale at the Longines FEI World Breeding Dressage Championships in Ermelo (NED). This afternoon she added another gold medal to her collection when posting a great score of 82.145 with the lovely 10-year-old gelding, Dark Legend, to be crowned U25 Freestyle champion.

The result ensured she went home with a full set of colours, having posted the biggest individual score in Wednesday’s Team Championship to boost Great Britain to bronze medal position, and slotting into silver medal spot behind yesterday’s Grand Prix winner Jil-Marielle Becks (20) from Germany.

"I’m in shock - this is all really unexpected!"

Charlotte Fry (GBR)

Becks was joined by Bianca Nowag (Fair Play), Juliette Piotrowski (Sir Diamond) and Lisa-Maria Klossinger (FBW Daktari) to top the team standings with a score of 219.706 which left them well ahead of their Dutch rivals in silver medal spot. Carlijn Huberts (Watoeshi), Maxime van der Vlist (Bailey), Denis Nekeman (Boston STH) and Jeanine Nieuwenhuis (TC Athene) racked up a final tally of 212.765 for The Netherlands. But the British foursome of Fry, Ryan Todd (Charlex Eskebjerg), Rebecca Jane Edwards (Headmore Delegate) and Claire Gallimore (Annette Ballerina) were hot on their heels in bronze when posting 212.118.

Becks, who with her 10-year-old chestnut gelding Damon’s Satelite was an individual bronze medallist at the Young Rider Championships in Valencia (ESP) in 2016, won yesterday’s Grand Prix with a score of 75.385, while Fry took silver when posting 75.308. Bronze went to Denmark’s Victoria Vallentin (20) who rode Ludwig der Sonnenkoenig to a mark of 74.000.

Fry turned the tables today however when pinning Becks into silver in the Freestyle, and it was the German rider’s team-mate, Klossinger (25), who scooped bronze this time around with FBW Daktari.

"I trained with Carl when I was 14 to 17 years old, and then moved to Holland when I just turned 18. Carl actually suggested I should come over to work with Anne Van Olst who is my trainer now, so he put this opportunity my way and I’m very grateful for that!"

Charlotte Fry (GBR)

She said that Dark Legend is a very nervous horse. “This is the first show he felt confident in the ring, so he peaked at a good time!” she pointed out. “Today was a really good test, he couldn’t have been better, he really rose to the music and danced to it!” she added.

And her plans for the future? “To compete at the Olympic Games some day - but for now I just want to get my feet back on the ground and start training again!” she said.

Everyone was singing the praises of the venue at Hippisch Centrum Exloo where the Organising Committee stepped up to the plate at very short notice following the withdrawal of Roosendaal. And the quality of the performances from the Dressage world’s rising stars left even the judges in awe. “What we saw here this week was almost at the same level as senior riders, and it’s really very exciting!” said Ground Jury President, Francis Verbeek-van-Rooy.

No World Equestrian Games in Tryon for Atterupgaards Cassidy and Cathrine Dufour (UK version below)

Press release from Danish Cathrine Dufour

caa.jpg

No World Equestrian Games in Tryon for Atterupgaards Cassidy and Cathrine Dufour (UK version below)

WEG will unfurtunately be without Cassidy and I.

Cassidy has made minor injury at the field, which means that we currently can’t work him. It’s of course very disappointing as he’s been better than ever during this season. We will do everything we can to take care of Cassidy in the best way possible, and therefor we won’t push him to do anything he’s not ready to. I’m sad that we won’t be a part of the danish team, but we wish our colleagues all the best for WEG 2018.

We will be back!

Verdensmestre klar til championatsfinalestævnet

Nyhed på DRF i dag

Glæd jer til finalestævnet i Dansk Ride Forbunds Unghestechampionater i dressur powered by Pavo.

44 high quality Danish Warmblood dressage foals for the Elite auction 25 August

A very strong collection for the Elite Foal Auction at Danish Warmblood 25 August

Foals from some of Denmarks most successful breeders with the best dam lines. Among the sires represented with most foals is Franklin in top of the list with 7 foals selected, while Valverde is represented with 6 foals, and the collection also counts foals from top stallions like Blue Hors Don Olymbrio, Blue Hors Fifty Cent, Blue Hors Hotline, Blue Hors Zackerey, Bøgegaardens Santiago, D'Avie, Florenz, Floriscount, Foundation, Franziskus, Freischütz, Hesselhøj Donkey Boy, Quantensprung, Quaterhit, Revolution, Romeo, Sandro Hit, Scolari, Sir Donnerhall I and Valløs Dreaming Marong.

H2R present the first three FOCUS foals from this years collection:

Long legged, uphill colt with outstanding gaits, and his expression just says "here I am". The dam is graded by the main studbook, and has passed the mare performance test. The sire Romeo is one of a very few stallions representing the very attractive Rubinstein bloodlines both with valuable abilities for movements and not least high coveted ride abilities. Dam sire De Noir has throughout the years proved his value as dam sire, where Danish Warmblood currently has shown the beautiful mare Delizia by Fürstenball and with De Noir as dam sire, which were representing Danish Warmblood at World Championship for Young Horses in Ermelo under Anne Troensegaard. Further in the dam line we find Michellino who is the answer of both power and ability for the most demanding dressage exercises. This colt looks like the super combination of breeding and sport.

The dam of this impressive colt is the silver medal mare Chakira Skovvang. She is also the dam of Wilson Skovvang, as was selected for the licensing in Herning, like the silver medal mare China Skovvang placed in top of the dressage breeding ranking. The sire of the colt is D´avie which recently became World Champion for Young Horses with Spanish top rider Severo Jurado Lopez in the saddle. The colt shows an appealing type and very correct, with nice supple top line in all three gaits and with superb canter. Looks like a copy of his sire and the combination with one of the strongest dam lines in Danish Warmblood makes him special in this collection.

Extraordinary, long legged, nobel, very modern type and elegant dressage colt. Dam line are all graded mares. The colt show super trot and canter with lovely freedom and power, and good walk. A very strong dressage breeding for the colt with Franklin, Sandro Hit and Weltmeyer, where both Sandro Hit and Weltmeyer has been leading breeding stallions first as sires and now further out in the breeding lines.
