Development from Nürnberger Burg-Pokal to now Louisdor Preis ready

Today’s Inter II “warm-up” for Sunday´s Louisdor Preis qualifier was won by Hubertus Schmidt with Denoix.

No doubt both horses in the top today will also be in top for tomorrows qualifier.

8 year old stallion Denoix by Destano/Pik Noir with Hubertus Schmidt, supple well balanced trot tour, good passage easy active in and out of active piaffe steps, good relaxation for extended walk lack bit more over track, very nice collected walk, easy pirouettes, good series lack bit more clear uphill trend. Smooth overall quality test without any technical issues.

9 year old gelding Gino by Bretton Woods/ Haarlem with Holga Finken - on the toes top expressive supple trot tour, expressive passage, active piaffe, 2nd with small lack of impulsion, but beautiful off the ground rhythm, bit conservative extended walk need more let go, good collected walk, nice expression for pirouettes, good series.

Qualifier will be live Sunday morning at 9:00 (hopefully without technical issues from Clipmyhorse).

Hagen is back even though it is at a smaller format this time, and as a national competition.

The dressage arena has moved to the huge impressive jumping arena at Hof Kasselmann, and even without spectators you still got the “big event” feeling watching the competition.

It was a sharp field of combinations with a clear winner of 7 year old gelding Harrods by Hochadel / Rotspon ridden by Frederic Wandres. The gelding was sold over the PSI auction back in 2017 for 205.000 euro and since then stayed in training at Hof Kasselmann.

Wandres showed the super expressive Harrods with a smooth supple trot tour, lovely frame and balance, good collected walk, lost of balance 2nd walk pirouette, good extended walk, super sit for pirouettes, super series 77,500% - a clear winner.

Eva Möller showed the 8 year old Joopie by Johnson / Don Romantic in a well balanced and very correct test with highlight for the canter tour and without any technical issues.

Placed no 5 the 7 yr old 🇩🇰Danish Warmblood mare Straight Horse Ascenzione and Helen Langehanenberg were also at start today. The mare looked well matured body wise with a nice round neck, and she suits Langehanenberg very nicely. Starting their test with super flow and power for the trot tour, well balanced uphill, trend 79,4% after the trot tour! Good walk tour, bit tensions for the walk pirouettes, nice regular extended walk, lacking bit more relaxation for the canter tour, becomes a bit into riders hands, super nice sit for pirouettes, bit tensions for series lacking bit more forward flow. 74,342%

An overall very nice collection with two top mares by Fürstenball and Veneno. Both with superb qualities and clearly top price candidates.

The auction candidates will be delivered on Tuesday, June 2. From Wednesday, June 3, until the auction day on June 14, the riding horses can be tested at any time. The test riding of the horses takes place under strict hygienic conditions and in compliance with the prescribed distance rules.

Worldwide Hannoveraner Contest First online tournament on 5/6 June

On June 5th and 6th, Hannoveraner and Rhineland riding horses can compete worldwide in an online tournament. In cooperation with ClipMyHorse.tv and EQUI-LEAGUE, the first official Hannoveraner Contest in dressage at A (novice), L (preliminary) and M (intermediate) level will be held.

"When I heard about the portal, I immediately had the idea that this could be a great platform to offer riders of Hannoveraner and Rhinelanders worldwide a possibility to compare," enthuses Wilken Treu, Managing Director of the Hannoveraner Verband. Committed partner is Volker Wulff, one of the two founders of EQUI-LEAGUE, who has just decided to cooperate with ClipMyHorse.tv.

At the first "Hannoveraner EQUI-LEAGUE Dressage" classes at A- (novice), L- (preliminary) and M- (intermediate) level are announced. Appropriate age groups are allowed, but only Hannoveraner and Rhineland riding horses are allowed. "This event shows what EQUI-LEAGUE can achieve, namely in this case a global exchange of riders who otherwise compete at national level. I find this extremely exciting," said Volker Wulff.

Stor erfaring, målrettet avl og stærkt rytterteam bærer frugt hos Stutteri Atterupgaard

Atterupgaards “Verner” e. Vitalis / Stedinger / Lord Sinclair nyder tydeligt at blive kradset lidt på brystet.

Stutteri Atterupgaard har I mange år været toneangivende i både avl og sport, og gennem de seneste 10 år har Atterupgaard ikke kun været stærke med succesfulde afkom på både de nationale og internationale stævnepladser, men de unge heste som er produceret indenfor egne fire vægge har også gjort sig særdeles positivt bemærket.

Den store erfaring omkring avlsarbejdet, styrker og svagheder hos de enkelte hoppestammer og reproduktion, sammenholdt med at teamet har brugt mange forskellige hingste, har givet basis for en lang række spændende ungheste som over årene har udviklet sig i sporten.

Rune med fuld fokus på Selina & Delorean

H2R var heldig at være med maj dag på sidelinien fra morgenstunden i ridehuset med en flok helt unge heste, som har været kort tid under sadel. En kollektion som med tydelighed viser at næste generation er klar i både avl og sport. Teamet omkring ridning og tilridning af hestene er Selina Solberg Vittinghus, som har været ansat på Atterupgaard i 11 år, og Michaela Navrsted som har været en del af teamet det seneste år. To unge damer som ejer og daglig leder Kristine sætter utrolig stor pris på, og nyder at følge udviklingen og samarbejdet fra tættest hold hver dag.

En gang om ugen kommer Rune Willum fast på Atterupgaard for at undervise både Selina og Michaela. Et samarbejde som virkelig har udviklet både ryttere og heste, og hvor Selina forrige år debuterede i international lille tur, og lige om lidt har sin første Atterupgaard hest klar til Grand Prix. Samtidig er Selina nu også en del af de norske ryttere, når den nye landstræner svenske Pether Markne samler de norske kræfter i Danmark til træningssamlinger.

Efter nogle store avlsårgange, hvor den var største var med 14 føl i en årgang, har niveauet nu fundet et leje på mellem 8 og 10 føl årligt, hvor årgang 2020 gerne skulle blive til 8 føl, fortæller Kristine. Indtil videre har to føl meldt deres ankomst, og det er to hingsteføl med to særlige mødre elitehoppen Atterupgaards Dicte, helsøster til Atterupgaards Cassidy og flere gange hingstemor, og guldmedalje hoppe Atterupgaards Minaia som nu er mor selv for første gang.

Årets første to føl, den røde efter Bon Courage med Dicte som mor, og den sorte efter Vitalis med Minaia som mor. I baggrunden ses den 18-årige Dicte.

Begge afkom på de to hopper er med klare genvalg for 2021, og for ikke at være i tvivl kan man lige tjekke videoen på “Verner” herunder. Helgstrand Dressage har allerede sikret sig halvpart i det helt ekstraordinær føl.

Presentation of 8 year old stallion Ferrari OLD from Helgstrand Dressage

The consequences of cancellations of all live activities in near future due to outbreak of coronavirus of course also affected Helgstrand Dressage stallion show planned at the beginning of April.

Instead Helgstrand Dressage will now present their stallions at videos over the next period of time.

The stallions will be shown at daily handling and daily training, and with Andreas telling a bit about the qualities from each stallion and also with some breeding advices.

This post will continuously be updated with new videos of the stallions.

Danish Daniel Bachmann Andersen ready for new adventure at Kleppenhus

Daniel Bachmann Andersen and Tiril Bachmann Ånerud

Since Daniel Bachmann Andersens announcement leaving Stud Blue Hors, Daniel and his wife has been working on different opportunities for their future business.

They are now very happy to announce that from July 1st they will move to the top equestrian facilities Kleppenhus, owned by international Norwegian rider Cathrine Rasmussen.

Kleppenhus is an oasis in the outskirts of the forrest with view from the outdoor arena direct to Stubbe lake, just 10 minutes drive from Aarhus Airport in Ebeltoft. Kleppenhus offers all modern facilities including spa/fitness section, canter track and huge fields - a paradise for both horses and riders.

Collaboration and sparring - new dressage mecca at Mols

Daniel is of course very excited about the future, as he brings a few very talented horses, like he already had a lot of interest from all over the World from horse owners and riders about his future.

Daniel and his wife Tiril starts with 11 boxes, an apartment for the staff, and their future private home just 100 meter from the property.

Daniel tells: “The life as self employed is still a very new chapter for us, but we are very confident about the future, as we’ve already had huge support and great sparring with Vivi and Christian Vang-Lauridsen (CVL Horses), as Vivi use to be my trainer when I was a pony rider, and through out the years we kept the contact, and now Tiril and I are very happy about their support and it´s great being able to benefit from their experiences.”

“For about a year I’ve been teaching on regular basis in Denmark and I’ve also been doing clinics different places in Europe, this part I also really love, and will try to continue as far as my daily schedule allows it,” says Daniel.

Mette Lübker Assouline & Michel Assouline

Also part of the new top dressage mecca at Mols is British based Danish Grand Prix rider (former team member) Mette Lübker Assouline, her husband US Para Dressage team coach and international Grand Prix rider Michel Assouline and their daughter Megan, as they’ve rented a seperat part of the exclusive facilities at Kleppenhus, from where Mette and Michel will run their buisness, coaching, training and sale.

After 28 years in UK and selling their own Equestrian Home in 2018. They were ready for new adventures and with Mette’s close business connections, friends and family in Denmark, Kleppenhus was a desirable destination.

They will continue their teaching activities back in UK with easy connection from Aarhus airport.

Both Mette and Daniel looking forward having each others eyes, experience and collaboration in the everyday at the unique facilities.

Bundeschampionate 2 - 6 August in Warendorf

Bundeschampionate in new format

The 2020 edition of the prestigious German Bundeschampionate will this year due to the corona situation be in another format.

Normally all disciplines will take place in 1 week, but this year the entire event will be divided into 2 weeks. The second week from 2 to 6 September with Dressage horses and – ponies like the Riding horses and – ponies.

During the Bundeschampionate it will only be allowed for riders and grooms, staff and judges to be at the event. Per rider one groom is allowed, if a rider bring more than one horse it is allowed for each two horses to bring a groom.

Oldenburg Elite Foals conquer the world - top foal sold to HP Horses 🇩🇰

Oldenburg fans from all over the world secured their future stars in the 1st Oldenburg Online Elite Foal Auction and ensured exciting bidding duels to the last second.

The magnificent Be my Love by Bonds - San Amour I - Dream of Love, bred by Theo Fugel from Saterland/Lower Saxony, became the top price with 43,250 Euros. This charismatic son of the champion stallion Bonds comes from the Ic-awarded Brillantringmare Escada. In the future, the movement artist will delight a regular customer in Denmark.

The second most expensive dressage horse with 30,500 Euros was Zuckerpuppe by Zackerey - Samarant - De Niro, bred by Elisabeth Kapp from Clüversbostel/Lower Saxony. Sire Zackerey was Oldenburg's main premium winner. Zuckerpuppe will bring joy to her new owner in the USA in the future.

HP Horses in Denmark purchasing another top prospect

The happy new owner of the absolute top foal from the Elite collection is Lone Boegh Henriksen, HP Horses in Denmark.

“I’m a big fan of Bonds and Escada is an outstanding mare. We saw her daughter by For Romance at Rastede 2 years ago where she was ranked as 1C. The damline has also produced both Rohdiamant and Royal Diamond, both stallions we’ve been using successful in our breeding program. So the decision was not that hard 🤩“, tells Lone.

Barrierekaffe og god ridning - en formiddag hos Dressurstald Willum Thomsen

Talentfulde kvalitetsheste med videreuddannelse for øje

En helt almindelig formiddag hos Dressurstald Willum Thomsen starter med både Rune Willum og Joachim Thomsen i sadlen. Mens Rune får redet sine heste i løbet af formiddagen, har Joachim en længere række af heste under sadel og fortsætter derfor resten af dagen i sadlen.

Rune Willum er eftertragtet som underviser, både på de hjemlige breddegrader, hvor ryttere som Anne Troensegaard, Selina Vittinghus og Maria Falkner Hansen er nogle af dem som gennem en årrække har trænet fast hos Rune, enten på “slottet” i  St. Tårnby, lidt syd for Køge som er basen for Willum Thomsen, eller hjemme hos rytterne. Derudover har Rune også gennem årene opbygget en solid kundekreds i udlandet, bl.a. Schweiz, Østrig, Norge og USA hvor han underviser med jævne mellemrum. Den nuværende corona situation har dog sat en midlertidig stopper for aktiviteterne udenlands, men det har så givet tid endnu mere fokus på egne heste.

Joachim fortæller at med fuld aflysning af stævnekalenderen har man selvfølgelig fået en ekstra mulighed for at træne og udvikle den enkelte hest, måske med lidt andre spændende vinkler end fokus på det næste stævne. Derfor har både den 8-årige Vicky Pax e. Vivaldi / White Magic avlet og ejet af Stutteri Pax v/Dorit Axel og Thomas Pensbo og den 10-årige Atterupgaards Seebach e. Sandro Hit / Caprimond, avlet af Stutteri Atterupgaard og ejet i fællesskab af Stutteri Atterupgaard og Willum Thomsen bl.a. begge øvet sig på etter serierne med succes nu.

En af de sidst ankomne heste i stalden er den 8-årige hoppe Hevringholms Delaya e. ERA Dancing Hit / Blue Hors Hertug, avlet af Anne-Sophie Høyer Christensen og ejet af Maria Bjerg. En hoppe som Rune Willum er super glad for at arbejde med, og som besidder 3 rigtig gode gangarter med en helt ekstraordinær skridt. Samtidig med den videre uddannelse har ejer Maria Bjerg i året fået et embryo føl efter Vitalis på Delaya.

Både Rune og Joachim siger samstemmende at det jo selvfølgelig altid er rigtig spændende når de har mulighed for at få heste i træning med henblik på videre og lidt længerevarende uddannelse inden evt. salg.

Stalden tæller også flere spændende heste bl.a. Joachims Grand Prix hest Aarø´s Ghandi e. Don Romantic / Resident og Rune´s Grand Prix hoppe Bonnaquiqui e. Bonifatius / Rotspon, et par super interessante 5 års Atterupgaard hopper, D´Amour e. San Amour / Donnerhall (ud af den succesfulde Dicte stamme) samt Marylin e. Caprimond / Stedinger som Rune og Joachim ejer sammen med Dansk Avistryk, samt en enkelt 4 års vallak Follow Your Heart e. Follow Me / Don Frederico, som blev indkøbt som føl af Willum Thomsen sammen med Logslund, som ligner en super spændende hest for fremtiden, med masser af smidighed i kroppen.

Så lige nu gør Rune og Joachim klar til at der forhåbentlig indenfor kort tid bliver åbnet op for stævnerne i Danmark, og at bevægelsesfriheden også bliver mulig ude i verden igen.
