Well balanced powerful test without any technical issues in a very nice steady frame. Revolution really shows his talent throughout the entire test, fully focused together with his rider all the way, and with extra qualities and super abilities for the canter pirouettes. Young stallion sets top price

Corona-induced alternative sales channels can increase the previous year's result

Verden. For the fourth time this year, it meant "The Bid-Up is on" for the youngest Hanoverians. For an average price of 8,514 Euros the 18 dressage offers found buyers from six countries.

The solid price structure provided four hammer prices above 10,000 Euros. At the top of the statistics is head number 81, the first foal in the collection: Force Majeure by Franco Nero/San Amour I found a new owner in the USA for 23,500 Euros. Thus Franco Nero, a Franziskus son from the Verden Stallion Market, delivered the top price in his first foal year at a Verden auction. The breeder of Force Majeure, Stephan Herrmann from Northeim, is not only the breeder of the stallion Franco Nero, but has also already delivered the most expensive auction foal in Verden to date in 2017 with the dam of this foal, the state premium mare A Speciality for You.

Superb test from Fiontini and Andreas Helgstrand in today’s Grand Prix Special

Adjustments.jpeg

Super solid quality test from Helgstrand with Fiontini in their first Grand Prix Special.

No technical issues, nice supple trot tour, easy in and out of passage tours, good piaffe, the walk tour is just extraordinary, super canter tour, smooth series and well balanced canter pirouettes. Looked a tiny bit out of petrol for the final.

“I’m very satisfied about our debut, can’t wait for our next competition together. Still dreaming about the Olympics”, says Andreas Helgstrand.

Andreas Helgstrand and Fiontini with super national Grand Prix debut together today

IMG-5824.jpg

Another win today for Andreas Helgstrand, this time with triple World Champion for Young Horses Fiontini. Andreas recently took over the ride of both Fiontini and also the stallion D´avie, both educated and former ridden by Severo Jurado Lopez, which recently started up his own business.

First horse Andreas rode was D´avie. The just 8 year old stallion look like a super partner in the arena, really fighting together with his rider, even though the entire test of course still need more routine and strength. They delivered a technical strong test. The super supple 10 year old Danish Warmblood mare Fiontini dances though her test, with just a tiny unbalanced moment at the end of the 2nd pirouette and maybe a bit to enthusiastic Helgstrand for the final diagonal as she jumps into canter. This mare just brings the entire package, walk, trot, canter, piaffe and passage including suppleness and expression.

Agnete Kirk Thinggaard came 2nd and 3rd with her two horses Blue Hors Zatchmo and Atterupgaards Orthilia, both with a few technical issues, where the overall picture lacking a bit more light and balanced contact for both horses today. Lovely to see the top mare Orthilia back in the arena after an injury break.

COVID-19 relocate the Danish World Cup qualifier

Screen%2BShot%2B2020-06-29%2Bat%2B17.47.47.jpg

The Danish division of the FEI World Cup in dressage and the CSI * & **,
CSIP-T will relocate from Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning to Vilhelmsborg. The reason is uncertainty regarding the consequences of COVID-19 and the assembly rules in October with consequences for both planning and finances.

The uncertainty about the assembly rules in October has made it necessary to move the FEI World Cup Dressage event from Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning in October to the National Equestrian Center, Vilhelmsborg near Aarhus. An international event of this size requires a lot of preparation, and for the sake of ticket sales, the organizers have chosen to adhere to the assembly rules applicable until 31 August of a maximum of 500 people.
– The uncertainty, and the severe restriction of the allowed number of spectators in line, make the implementation in the known format financially impossible, and we had no choice but to cancel or move the World Cup qualification this year, says Casper Cassøe, one of the organizers behind the event, and the other organizer, Jens Trabjerg points out that this type of events has extremely difficult working conditions:
– It is perfectly understandable that there are rules on assemblies during the Covid-19 pandemic. Many would like to experience the World Cup qualification live, but of course there is no need to compromise with the audience and the safety and health of the athletes.
The organizers expect the move to cost a six-figure amount but have chosen to invest in maintaining the event in Denmark.

Director of the Danish Equestrian Federation, Morten Rodtwitt states: – The Danish Equestrian Federation praise the event organizers behind World Cup Herning. In a difficult time, they have shown constant care, been creative and, not least, willing to think in positive, alternative solutions. The World Cup is a prestigious tournament that only the very best international event organizers will have the opportunity to hold, so it is crucial that Denmark remains part of this circle. By moving the qualification to Vilhelmsborg, we keep the qualification on Danish soil while taking the necessary health measures, and this is a solution that our federation supports 100%. The same will undoubtedly apply to the Danish dressage riders, who will be more than ready to go for the first World Cup qualification in October.

The World Cup moves to Vilhelmsborg
The organizers have applied to the FEI (International Equestrian Federation) for an exemption to move this year's World Cup qualification to the National Equestrian Centre, Vilhelmsborg near Aarhus. And FEI has granted the dispensation for this season, so that the World Cup series can kick off in Denmark in keeping with tradition.
- With the support of the International Equestrian Federation, FEI, to move the event to Vilhelmsborg, we will again be able to enjoy international dressage at the highest level and enthralling show jumping classes on Danish soil. It is important for the sport at home and abroad that we get started with the international competitions and especially in the World Cup qualification. And we will be able to do so at Vilhelmsborg, says Casper Cassøe, adding:
– The restrictions, in combination with the uncertainty about the rules in October, make Vilhelmsborg the natural and right choice for the location of the World Cup event this year.

Vilhelmsborg has permanent stables, heating and training facilities for horses and riders, and the facilities for the spectators can be scaled to match the current requirements of the authorities. The intimate atmosphere in the show arena provides the opportunity to produce good broadcasting for those around the world who passionately follow the World Cup Series, which is of great importance to the event's sponsors.
– Fortunately, we have received great support from our major sponsors in this particular situation, and we are grateful for the understanding. Of course, the spectacular setting in Jyske Bank Boxen and space for many spectators will be missed this year, and we look forward to returning to Herning in 2021, says Jens Trabjerg.
The host city of Herning and MCH A/S both express regret and understanding of the organizers' decision in this extraordinary situation and look forward to welcoming the World Cup in 2021.

Vilhelmsborg hosted the World Cup finals in dressage in 2000, and the organizers promise that everyone will do their utmost to create a beautiful setting for the World Cup event at Vilhelmsborg this year to the benefit of riders, audiences and TV viewers from all over world.

Successful Danish Warmblood premier online foal auction

The new concept for organising the first edition of 2020 Danish Warmblood foal auction with successful turnout

The presentation of the foals for the auction was as usual with nice videos where the foals were shown in all three gaits. The online auction with the possibility for pre-bidding which made it even more interesting to check out each foal and follow the bidding towards today’s online live auction.

The online auction was made in cooperation between Danish Warmblood and Blue Hors, and in connection with Blue Hors foal championships it even became a bit in the mood of a “normal” foal show, even though there were very few people gathered (according to the current Danish coronavirus restrictions).

For this type of online live auction it seems perfect with a collection less than 20 foals. All the foals developed positively since the videos were captured, and you did not miss a final presentation before today’s auction.

The combination of live-, online- and phone bidding was also quite easy to follow live, and make this kind of auction credible for everyone.

Top price foals

Not surprisingly the super well moving colt by Livius / Aljano was sold for today’s top price at 37.000 euro - this colt was secured for Blue Hors by breeding manager Martin Klavsen.

2nd most expansive foal became the filly by Vitalis / Apache sold to Blue Hors rider Nanna Merrald for 20.000 euro.

Here you find the entire list of prices.

Just 6 points ahead of 2nd placed Dorothee Schneider with Villeneuve

The harmonious overall impression went for Schneider with 8 year old stallion Villeneuve by Vitalis / Danicer, but the scoreboard came out with "home soil” advantage for Rath and Destacado FRH by Desperados / Londonderry today.

Destacado / Matthias Rath - bit open halt, good diagonal, active half passes with nice flow, good diagonal, super extended walk, collected walk tour lack more collection, big walk pirouettes, canter pirouettes lack more balance and collection, good half passes, series need bit for forward flow, good diagonal, good halt with rein back. 76,341%

Villeneuve / Dorothee Schneider - good halt, well balanced diagonal, supple swinging half passes, uphill frame, nice diagonal, good transition to walk, good extended walk, lost step 2nd walk pirouette, super sit for 1st canter pirouette, 2nd good, well balanced half passes, good series, power diagonal, super halt small distrub, nice rein back and forward. 76,049%

Marcus Hermes with Hugo FH with technical best walk pirouettes, best canter pirouettes and best halt with rein back today.

Might only be H2R, but it looks a bit weird with so much foam in the mouth without having a happy smooth contact.
