Danish Warmblood and Stud Blue Hors are once again ready for live auction
15 dressage foals with top pedigree and with more top foals from the regional foal shows.
Strong mare lines represented in combination with young stallions like Imposantos, Blue Hors Zackerey, Blue Hors Kingston, Springbank II and Secret.
The pre-bidding starts Thursday August 13 at 5 pm and the live online auction starts Sunday August 16 at 3 pm.

Superb presentation from Eva Möller with Danciero, while Jessica Lynn Thomas with Bon Courage was struggling a bit that he was running into the hand today.

Grøn Dressage - en skøn og travl "oase" lidt udenfor Odense
Når kombinationen af elevskole, rideklub, professionel uddannelses- og salgsstald og opstaldere går op i en højere enhed.
De fem forskellige interessegrupper går ikke ofte harmonisk hånd i hånd, men et nærmere kig på en helt almindelig mandag formiddag giver et ret klart billede af at tingene kan lade sig gøre - endda med fin plads til alle og kombineret med tre generationer.
Tæt på motorvejsnettet lige udenfor Odense, med nem adgang til resten af Danmark, finder man Grøn Dressage som ejes og drives af rytterparret Astrid og Allan Grøn. Tilbage i 2017 erhvervede parret sig ejendommen efter at Astrids familie siden 1977 har drevet stedet som traditional rideskole, med Astrids forældre Aase og Holger Therkelsen i spidsen.
Far Holger som efterhånden er blevet en ældre herre på 73 år står stadig for elevskolen og pasningen af elevhestene, som han jo har gjort i mere end 40 år, og kulissen som man kender den tilbage fra midt 90´erne står uændret i den del af ejendommen. Iøvrigt skal man finde Holger i stalden hvis man vil snakke med ham eller give ham en besked, mobiltelefon er ikke noget han har!
Derimod har rytterparret Astrid og Allan i 2017 fået bygget deres egen del af ejendommen som nu også tæller: nyt 20x60 ridehus, udendørs bane, begge med super bunde, stort staldafsnit med flotte lyse bokse med dybstrøelse. Separate sadelrum, et for deres egen del og et for pensionærerne. Området hvor der i gamle dage var springbane og dressurbaner er omdannet til 4 store luftefolde, omkranset af høje træer, hvor der senest er blevet etableret galopbane rundt om. Næste projekt på ønskelisten hedder skridtmaskine.
Stalden er fyldt op med talentfulde ungheste og heste i træning samt pensionærer. I dagligdagen rider Astrid og Allan hestene sammen til over middag, hvorefter Astrid henter deres to drenge fra skole og børnehaven midt på eftermiddagen, og Allan fortsætter til sidst på eftermiddagen, hvor de første pensionærer så småt begynder at dukke op. Både Astrid og Allan nyder godt af Allans tidligere kollega berider Karsten Petersen kommer en gang om ugen, og sørger for at være de skarpe øjne fra jorden. Når Karsten kommer er der typisk også et par andre professionelle som rider med.
Den her mandag morgen var den første “normale” mandag i meget lang tid, da parrets to drenge endelig har kunnet vende tilbage til skole og børnehave. Med drengene i fuld firspring på ejendommen er hestene jo altid vant til der sker ting og sager, fortæller Astrid.
Der er som regel altid tre unge folk i stalden til at hjælpe, og her har Astrid og Allan indtil videre været begunstiget af tidligere ponypiger fra far Holgers rideskole, som har haft brug for sabbatår eller lignede fra studier. Pt. er der ingen planer om at skulle have elever, da der også skal være ekstra tid og resourcer hvis man påtager sig at skulle uddanne nye beridere, siger Allan.
Lige nu venter et forhåbentlig travlt stævne efterår med bl.a. championatskvalifikationer, samtidig er Astrid og Allan også klar til at byde velkommen igen til stævner på stedet med et aften distriktsstævne, hvor rytterne kan nyde godt af de skønne faciliteter. Allan glæder sig også til at at åbne op for at give kurser igen hen over efteråret, et job som han synes er super spændende, men som han har haft sat lidt på standby mens drengene var små.

The Revolution / Belissimo mare Romy was the clear Champion. Feminine, well marked, expressive and supple mover in both trot and walk showing power and activity.
Also the Bon Coeur / Waterford mare was feminine and well moving and the obvious Reserve Champion today.
On H2R top list was also the powerful Sezuan / San Amour daughter like the beautiful and extremely light footed By my Beauty Queen by Bonds / San Amour.

Glamourdale and Kjento foals stand out during the first Van Olst Sales Online foal auction
13 foals were virtually sold off during the first online foal auction which just ended. For a total amount of € 179.500,- they were sold to Sweden, Belgium, England, America, Germany and Russia. 5 foals will stay in the Netherlands. This brought the average price per foal to a little over € 13,800.
Most expensive foal of the day was cat number 9. Princeville JT, by Kjento x Lord Leatherdale, for € 32.000,-. The impressive filly Philicity by Kjento x Desperado was the second most expensive for the nice amount of € 26.000,-. On Wednesday Van Olst Sales will announce the next collection of foals, after which they will be auctioned on August 17th.

Danish Trakehner foal show and two year old mare show at Stutteri Selsø
Danish Champion colt of the year Elektric Spirit by Ivanhoe - Schwarzgold
Sunday afternoon Danish Trakehner enthusiasts were gathered at Stutteri Selsø which is nicely situated near Roskilde fjord at Zealand.
In total 12 foals and 2 two year old fillies were presented for the judging team.
The foal show started with inspection of each foal at the stable, followed by presentation in the arena with subsequent walk ring with ranking and description.
Busy hosts Camilla Qvistgaard and Janus Haubroe - Stutteri Selsø
In general the foals were with good qualities with a clear top 3 from H2R point of view, with the 2020 Champion colt as the highlight of the day.
Electric Spirit by Ivanhoe / Schwarzgold, bred by Annegrete Jacobsen & Anders Brusendorff and co-owned by Stutteri Selsø, Hesselhøj Hestecenter and the breeders. The young colt stood out as a super supple mover in all 3 gaits, showing lovely expression and lovely power. A foal where you don’t get the feeling he will ever show any kind of tightness in his body.
2nd best from H2R point of view was the colt Final Recall Stærkjær by Luxus Selsø/Special Quest xx, bred by Stutteri Stærkjær. Super well moving still very young, just 1 month old, and still a bit small as he unfortunately lost his mother right after he was born and now has a very nice foster mom. Janus Haubroe from Stutteri Selsø was also quick buying this well moving colt before he left the ring.
Last foal on H2R top 3 was Last Minute Selsø by Ivanhoe/Sixtus bred and owner by Stutteri Selsø. Super expressive with nice stallion look and good paces.
One of the guests at the sideline was German Trakehner Gestuet Poll-Hörem represented by Ferdinand Poll owner of among other 8 year old champion stallion Ivanhoe by Millennium/Hohenstein. Ferdinand Poll was of course excited about the qualities of foals from his stallions and did also praise the general qualities of the mares. “It is always important for our breeding to try to combine the best bloodlines and of course constantly trying to improve our horses for both top breeding and top sport,” says Ferdinand Poll.
The day was finished with a lovely barbecue in the garden at Stutteri Selsø where all breeders could have a chat and a lovely meal prepared by Stutteri Selsø team.

Again a top mare by Fürstenball. From just following the presentation at the triangle, Feine Bella just dances all the way to the top of the podium with her super feminine look and expressive supple trot.
Reserve champion by Fürst Wilhelm and 2nd reserve champion by Everdale also brings expression and suppleness, but at the end of the day the full package was Feine Bella.

Latest post at Henriette Andersens Facebook page says Dream Machine. H2R was of course curious to get to know a little bit more about the story behind this Dream Machine, as I’ve already heard a few years back “my wife has a fantastic young horse by Blue Hors Zack”, told by Henriette´s husband Danish international rider Ulrik Mølgaard.
The story about “George”
“He is bred by Nicky Golding here in UK, who has been a client of ours for many years. Zackery is born in 2011 by Blue Hors Zack out of a Obelisk mare, and we had him since he was two years old and put in the field with another two year old we bred ourselves. We kind of forgot about them and when we decided it was time to back them they were 4 instead of 3. . . . time flies 😊. In hindsight I think that was great as he is a big horse and given extra time to mature.
He did two competitions end of 2018 Medium level, and then plan was to get proper going 2019, but last year was a bit of a write off for us due to bad illness in the family and a lot of travelling forwards and back to Denmark.
This year has then been another semi write off due to COVID, but at least we have had time to train and has now come out at Prix St. Georg with great help from Carl Hester who describes him as “Perfect” and “A future International star”.
He really is a dream horse; paces, looks and temperament to die for. He is very sensitive and always thinks forward, which makes the piaff and passage work quite easy.
The plan is that he will do some more small tour classes this year, maybe an international if anything is happening, and then slowly step up to Grand Prix next year”, says Henriette.

No FEI World Cup 2020 in Stuttgart – “We can´t hold the horse show in these conditions”

After 35 years, there will be no international horse show this year in Stuttgart’s Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle. After many months of planning and intensive discussions about alternative concepts in the face of the corona pandemic, it is now final that the 36thSTUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS from 11 to 15 November 2020 has to be cancelled. “The indoor horse show cannot be staged in the current corona conditions,” stresses Andreas Kroll, the CEO of the organisers, the in.Stuttgart Veranstaltungsgesellschaft. “We ask for the understanding of all the equestrian fans and naturally the riders. For a long time, we were hoping there would be a weakening of the corona pandemic, but after the latest reports, it appears we’re a long way off.”
The health of humans and animals is the uppermost priority which is why one has decided to take this course of action jointly with the horse show directors, the sponsors and partners. Though in the meantime there has been some, mainly without spectators, smaller and mid-sized outdoor horse shows, they however cannot be compared to a 5-star show in an indoor arena. The effort needed to stage the horse show in the “Hallenduo” complex in NeckarPark is enormous. From the competition in-field to the stables as well as the shopping areas and the media center, everything has to be built specially for the show.
As the organiser and operator of the indoor arena, a point in time has now been reached in which it can be safely said that holding the event is not financially viable. Simultaneously the safety and wellbeing of everybody involved in the running of the horse show as well as the visitors cannot be fully guaranteed. Kroll: “Without the spectators and the wonderful atmosphere, it simply makes no sense. The corona ordinance’s restrictions will remain in force until the end of October and momentarily we can’t assume that much will change up until the middle of November.”
The focus is now on next year when the 36th International STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS Horse Show is due to be held from 10 to 14 November 2021. One is in regular contact with the International Equestrian Federation, the German Equestrian Federation (FN) and the regional Baden-Württemberg Equestrian Association and this year’s cancellation has been agreed and accepted at all three levels. This also applies to the final classes for the BW-Bank Indoor Championship, the iWest Cup, the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal or the Piaff-Förderpreis. Together with their final classes, they should take place as usual in the coming year in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle.

Mare power is the order of the day when the best three-year olds from Hannover and the Rhineland compete at the Herwart von der Decken-Show on Thursday, August 6th. 75 mares were entered by the district associations. The kick-off at the facility on Lindhooper Straße will be the spectacular free jumping under the open sky starting at 9.30 am CET. At 1.15 p.m. CET the first dressage mare will then enter the triangular course.
The trio of judges will score the quality of movement, jumping ability and conformation of the exquisite candidates for the coveted white-yellow sashes. In addition to Hartmut Wilking, Vice Chairman of the Hannoveraner Verband, and Breeding Director Ulrich Hahne, the renowned Danish horse expert and stallion owner, Ib Kirk from Katrinelund Stud, will be on the commission.
Despite Corona, the district associations have ensured that the best of the 2017 vintage will compete in Verden. The traditional mare shows were cancelled. Instead, mare performance tests were held throughout the entire breeding area, for which a special hygiene concept was developed. This was very well received by the breeders, especially because the best mares were awarded the Hannoveraner premium.
The number of visitors in Verden is limited. But nobody must stay without Hannoveraner mare power: The Herwart von der Decken-Show will be broadcasted via livestream from 9.30 a.m. CET all over the world.

Westfalen week started today with the dressage, and this year with another super test from Eva Möller with 6 year old Valverde by Vitalis / Ampere and a new Champion title.
Super smooth test with lovely power and balance all the way, unfortunately a very nice serie of 3 times on the 2nd short diagonal is not really required and therefore the 7,5 mark for the submission 🤷♀️.
