Dujardin, Merrald and Fry

Dujardin was shining in her usual best way, today with 10 year old Gio by Apache / Tango. When watching Charlotte it´s harmony pure with the always steady soft hands, the light aides and her incredible strong seat. Tiny issues but overall such a high level makes the 78% test.

Nice halt, power diagonal, supple crossing half passes smooth transition, good halt with rein back, power diagonal bit hectic look, super into passage, expressive passage, active piaffe, smooth transitions, good relaxation for extended walk, nice collected walk, super into passage, super 2nd piaffe active off the ground, nice passage, good into canter, good 2 times, nice extended canter, balanced zigzag, small tension mid 1 times, small pirouettes with super control, good extended trot, nice final.

Nanna Merrald and Blue Hors Zack showing “Olympic qualities”

The Olympic qualifier for Nanna and Zack is now ✅and their partnership has really developed positively within pretty short time. Today with a very strong performance even though an error by the two times and the extended walk tour missing a bit more go. Zack is very experienced and together with Nanna he has made a very special bond, and he seems very motivated and not least he looks very fit for fight. From H2R point of view Nanna and Zack are for sure at the Danish (short) long list for Tokyo.

Nice halt, power diagonal, small stumble into half pass, nice flow and go uphill, super halt with rein back, power diagonal, nice into passage, super nice in and out of piaffe, active with nice transitions, extended walk need a bit more activity forward, nice collected walk, nice into passage, bit forward 2nd piaffe, good into canter, error 2 times, super extended canter, nice zigzag, nice 1 times, super sit 1st pirouette, super 2nd pirouette, nice transition to trot, power diagonal, super final. 3rd place with 75,739%.

Charlotte Fry and Everdale on fire today 🔥

Impressive Fry was again today in “attack mode”. Everdale was really on fire, unfortunately with the collected walk tour with more like small steps as Everdale was kind of over motivated. For the one time changes the tempo was pretty high, but not an issue for neither Everdale og Fry. Overall high quality picture.

Good halt, balanced diagonal, crossing supple uphill half passes with super power, super halt with rein back, power diagonal, super into passage, active piaffe, smooth transitions, need to let a bit more let go for extended walk, tense collected walk tour, super passage/piaffe tour, lot of quality, good into canter, nice 2 times, power extension, bit unbalanced zigzag, active 1 times, bit tense hind for 1st pirouette, 2nd better, power diagonal, final piaffe lacking bit more impulsion. 5th place with 73,804%.

Here you find the entire results.

Small field for today’s OLD saddle licensing

From watching both the stallion video presentations and today’s licensing, today’s champion stallion made a great picture by first hand, but already from the video presentation you could see that the stallion clearly became very wide behind for more moments, this fact was also clearly shown by today´s presentation at hard surface and under the rider, but did not seem to be considered as an issue for today´s Champion title. The canter itself was huge but lacking more balance, and it was obvious that the quality improved a lot when test rider chose to stand up in the canter.

Today’s most well balanced and well moving stallion for the licensing was from H2R point of view no 48 by For Romance I / Rock Forever.

Test rider Charlott-Maria Schürmann did a great job, with Oliver Oelrich doing the guidance from the ground, as every single stallion clearly became better during the very short testing.

OLD PRESS RELEASE

The stunning Champion Stallion of the 10th Oldenburg Saddle Licensing was the strong moving Splendid by San Amour I out of N-Infinity by Dream Boy - Friedensfürst/T., bred by Rob Zandvoort from Belgium, and owned by Rlz Bvba, Belgium. "A majestic appearance when he enters the ring: black, very swinging and long-legged with a lot of shoulder freedom and good mechanics. We expect a lot from this stallion for the upper dressage sport, who is equipped with the necessary sensitivity and the right attitude," Oldenburg's licensing commissioner Bernhard Thoben described the winner. The test rider Charlott-Maria Schürmann enthused: "The feeling is mega, I have never ridden such a great stallion before". The exceptional talent with his noble bloodlines comes from a successful dressage dam line: Dam N-Infinity was already successful at advanced level at the age of seven. Granddam Fatinitza was a Grand Prix winner under Tatyana Makarova, RUS. Out of the dam line: European Champion Rendezvous under Michael Klimke. The stallion is for sale in the Online Auction.

Today, 19 April, from 9:00 p.m. you have the opportunity to bid for the Champion Stallion as well as some licensed and non-licensed stallions of the Oldenburg Saddle Licensing. The Online Auction ends on Wednesday, 21 April. Trying out of the stallions will take place on Tuesday, 20 April, and on Wednesday. Trying out by appointment only.

The Reserve Champion title went to a son by Foundation out of Gwendolyn by Wynton - Ferro - De Niro, bred by M.C. van’t Hoff from the Netherlands, and exhibited by Gestüt Bonhomme from Berlin. Dam Gwendolyn is the sister of the licensed stallion Le Formidable by Bordeuax. His second dam Vienna is the sister of the star sire Bretton Woods by Johnson under Matthias Alexander Rath.

The Ic-premium was awarded to a stallion by Frascino out of Fahra-Diva by Lauries Crusador xx - Dormello - Placido, bred by Frank & Christine Lange, Porta Westfalica, and exhibited by Peter Aringer from Herford. His third dam Farena is the sister of the World Cup winner Delaunay OLD by Dr. Doolittle under the Swedish rider Patrik Kittel. A highlight of this performance was a very ground covering, tactful walk. The stallion is for sale.

All in all, the licensing committee of the Verband der Züchter des Oldenburger Pferdes licensed nine out of 14 stallions.
