Jule- og nytårshilsen fra H2R / Christmas and New Year greetings from H2R

Being a Dane and living abroad - bringing along all the Christmas traditions is something that I always enjoy. But I´m sure that most dressage riders and breeders, all over the world, face the same challengers this time around. We really really want to spend a few days of quality time with our family and close friends - however, the horses are most likely still first priority. Right? And only horse people know the feeling of sneaking out during the family dinner, just for five minutes that unfortunately often (always) turns into 45 minutes, to treat the young horses some extra hay "in the field". "Just checking", as we call it. Or the need to "clean and fix" the boxes just that little better on Christmas Day. It is Christmas for good sake. Not to mention the two hours spend training the sports horses during the Grand Family Christmas mid day come together - CAUSE THIS IS WHAT WE DO - add to that the secret feeling of joy turning up late for Christmas dinner, straight out the shower, still with cold cheeks and wet hair. A feeling that only horse people truly understands - and a state of mind that absolutely beats everything!

Merry Christmas to all of you from H2R!
