Olympics 2020 in Tokyo with the new dressage format
Each team with 3 combinations - no drop score. Each team can bring a reserve combination - can only be used due to medical reasons.
Grand Prix is qualifier for Grand Prix Special and Grand Prix freestyle.
Team medals will be decided after the Grand Prix Special - and only from the Grand Prix Special score. The special test will be performed to music of the rider’s choice - the music will have no bearing on the marks.
Top 8 teams from Grand Prix will be qualified for Grand Prix Special.
The two best-scoring combinations from each group in the Grand Prix, plus the next 6 best combinations across all the groups, will qualify for the grand prix freestyle. Individual Olympic champion after the freestyle.
