A pro and an amateur

It was clearly a dance with a pro rider with an inexperienced horse when watching Jessica and Diallo today. Ex for the subsequent pricegiving Diallo looked a bit tense when standing and pulling his head to one side while Jessica just gave him the reins and after a few minutes he was standing still and enjoyed the atmosphere.

As Kyra Kyrklund explained at the mini demo last week during Danish national championship the dressage is just like dancing, one is leading and one is just following. This was also the clear fact today for Jessica and Diallo performing in their first 5-star Grand Prix together.

Diallo was on his toes but was in best hands under Jessica where she all the way asure him that she will only ask for dancing steps which he is capable of performing, and end of the test with winner score.

Half passes in both trot and canter missing bit more suppleness, super tact and balance for passage/piaffe tours, the series are ok but some tensions creeping in and they become a bit to quick of the ground like also the final relaxation is missing for the pirouettes, transition to trot at M bit stocked, super obedient and powerful with nice frame and contact all the way.

For Patrik Kittel and 11 yr old super mare Dante´s Herzchen by Dante Weltino it was their 2nd big event and also their 5-star debut. From the “side line” Dante´s Herzchen look more comfortable and familar to the big setting, and actually only look a bit green from the piaffe and transitions while rest look quite strong with good over view. But again the experience from Kittel brings confidence to the inexperienced gourgous mare.

Today Dorothee Schneider ones again shows strong piaffe / passage tours including smooth transitions but unfortunately still struggling to get the series without errors.
