From watching the final today Lena Hassmann and Lodovico (Lord Europe/Don Frederic bred by Wieghaus-Vorwerk, owner Schafhof) were even more sovereign than the scoreboard was showing. Light, power, expressive for the entire performance. Nice supple contact and all the way, and super obedient in front of the aides without being forces.
The obvious difference was the walk. Lodovico showing a supple active walk tour in good balance scoring 8,4, while second placed Veni Vedi Veci (Vitalis/Daily Deal) and Jana Marie Thamm scored 8,8 for the walk, where fully equal suppleness in the front legs were missing. Placed third was Fiete (Fashion in Black/Rock Forever I) look more like a clear second place, light uphill contact without any technical issues, tiny unbalance into contact into first simple change.
