Germany claimed victory in the 2025 FEI Dressage Nations Cup™ presented by Novare. This year, they return to defend their title against strong competition from Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands.
PRESS RELEASE
The FEI Dressage Nations Cup™ presented by Novarereturns to Falsterbo Horse Show next week with one of the strongest dressage fields in the event's history. This year's entry list features several World Championship contenders, led by danish Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour and Swedish fan favourite Patrik Kittel.
Following Falsterbo Horse Show's investment in international dressage together with partner Novare, the FEI Dressage Nations Cup™ returns with five-star status and a prize fund of €100,000. Together with the FEI World Championships in Aachen, Falsterbo is the only event in the world this year to host a five-star FEI Nations Cup in both jumping and dressage during the same week.
That makes Falsterbo an important benchmark ahead of the FEI World Championships in Aachen, attracting many of the world's leading combinations. Among them is the top ranked Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour, who brings her outstanding partner Mount St John Freestyle to Falsterbo to debut their new freestyle programme. Also representing Denmark is Daniel Bachmann Andersen, while Germany sends top riders Helen Langehanenberg, Moritz Treffinger and Leonie Richter, alongside a strong Dutch team.
Swedish World Championship hopefuls on home soil
For Sweden, Falsterbo serves as a key stepping stone towards the FEI World Championships in Aachen. The Swedish team for the FEI Dressage Nations Cup™ presented by Novare includes several combinations expected to represent Sweden later this summer:
Patrik Kittel – Touchdown
Therese Nilshagen – Navarro
Maria von Essen – Invoice
Anita Roslund – Fontanell
World Championship Jury on site
The ground jury is equally impressive. Ulrike Nivelle (GER), who has been appointed Ground Jury President for this year's FEI World Championships, will also lead the team of judges in Falsterbo. She is joined by Kurt Christensen (DEN)and Clive Halsall (GBR), both of whom have also been selected to officiate at the World Championships later this summer.
A week of world-class dressage
In addition to the five-star Nations Cup, Falsterbo Horse Show also hosts CDI3* and CDI1* competitions, giving spectators the opportunity to follow both established championship riders and the next generation of international stars.
Among the highlights, Patrik Kittelwill compete with three different horses across CDI5*, CDI3* and CDI1* during the week, while Helen Langehanenberg will start in both the CDIO5* and CDI3* competitions.
The dressage programme is further strengthened by an exclusive clinic with Olympic medallist and Danish national coach Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein, offering spectators valuable insight from one of the sport's most respected figures. The clinic has free seating and is included in the area ticket.
