A collection of 39 young stallions are selected

From the video presentations there are just two stallions which caught some extra attention from H2R.

It is interesting to see the entire collection

Unfortunately the public does not have the possibility to watch all stallions, as the stallions which are not offered for sale are not shown with videos. Pity as some of them for sure also will be future stallions for breeding.

Note

For the upcoming NRW licensing all stallions are available with videos (including the stallions not for sale at the auction).

HANN riding horses auction comes up 11 November

No 10 by Totilas / Fürst Heinrich

No 10 by Totilas / Fürst Heinrich

From a look through the entire collection, the four horses below caught some extra attention.

No doubt the lovely Totilas / Fürst Heinrich son with no 10 will take the top price. Lovely self carriage, uphill tendency and supple mover in all three gaits.

No 68 by For Romance / Rohdiamant. Active of the ground - could be nice to see with less speed.

No 77 by Danone I / Weltgeist. Lovely up hill modern model, showing nice balance for the trot and good canter and walk.

No 89 by Vitalis / Levados. Nice active supple from behind. Looks like a very interesting horse for further education.

Remember you can follow the final presentation Wednesday 8 November at 17.00 via live stream.

German superstar and reigning series champion pins Spain’s Ferrer-Salat into runner-up spot; third-placed Swede, Patrik Kittel, holds strong lead on Western European League table

Where sport meets entertainment that’s where you find the world’s best Dressage riders and those two planets collided today to explosive effect at the second leg of the FEI World Cup™ Dressage 2017/2018 Western European League in Lyon, France where reigning champion, Germany’s Isabell Werth (47), came out on top. In a competition that built to a thrilling climax it was Spain’s Beatriz Ferrer-Salat who finished second ahead of Sweden’s Patrik Kittel in third while Werth’s compatriot, Dorothee Schneider, lined up fourth.

Werth had to settle for runner-up spot with Don Johnson at the first leg in Denmark two weeks ago, but today, partnering the 11-year-old gelding Emilio, she threw down an unbeatable mark of 86.115 percent when fifth-last to go of 15 starters from eight different countries.

"This was a personal-best score with Emilio and I’m so happy because he worked so well, he was really relaxed but with so much power that he gave me goosebumps!"

Isabell Werth (GER)

From the moment they danced into the arena the German duo had the audience completely spellbound. To a gloriously classical musical score they demonstrated dramatic changes of rhythm and pace, and it was captivating from the very start to the perfect final halt. It was no surprise when they were awarded three artistic scores over 90 percent including 92.800 from Judge at E, Vincenzo Truppa from Italy. All five members of the Ground Jury were in agreement as they put them in pole position, and as they left the arena the spectators rose to their feet to salute the lady whose medal-winning record in equestrian sport is second to none. But the excitement was far from over.

Ferrer-Salat’s Delgado put 82.630 on the board as the four-time Olympian and 2015 European silver medallist showed that her 16-year-old horse is coming right back on form after the injury-break that followed the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. And then Kittel set the arena alight with one of his trademark electrifying rides. This ultimate showman and his Olympic partner, the 13-year-old mare Deja, simply swung to the funky sounds of Stevie Wonder, all but willing the crowd to sing and clap to the strains of “Isn’t she lovely”, because Deja most certainly is. The wait for the judges marks was a tense one, but 81.555 wouldn’t threaten Werth’s domination and when fellow-German Dorothee Schneider and the elegant Sammy Davis Jr posted 80.315 for fourth place it was a done deal.

Werth was delighted with Emilio today. “He has become so much more confident, even in the warm-up he was focused and concentrated, he’s becoming more professional and improving all the time” she said. And now she plans to bring out her top ride, the brilliant mare Weihegold who helped her take the 2017 FEI World Cup™ Dressage title last March and triple-gold at the Longines FEI European Championships this summer, to the next leg of the Western European League which will take place on home turf in Stuttgart, Germany in two weeks’ time. Following that she will compete in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in January and she intends to campaign all three of her horses ahead of the series Final in Paris, France next April even though she is automatically qualified as defending champion.

Kittel meanwhile is sitting pretty at the top of the league table going into the next round with 54 points, a whopping 23 points ahead of second-placed Marcela Krinke Susmelj from Switzerland who finished seventh today with Smeyers Molberg. “I’m over the moon about being so far ahead!” Kittel said this evening. “And my goal is definitely Paris - it’s going to be awesome!” he added.

Result:

1. Emilio (Isabell Werth) GER 86.115

2. Delgado (Beatriz Ferrer-Salat) ESP 82.630

3. Deja (Patrik Kittel) SWE 81.555

Clear wins for top German riders today

GER.jpg

A German day

National Grand Prix win for Hubertus Schmidt with Imperio today at Nürnberg, like Schmidt also took the preliminary Prix Sct. Georg Special win with the 7 yr old mare Toscana by Bentley / Rubinstein I with 72,341%.

CDI4 at Oldenburg

CDI4 Grand Prix win for Jessica von Bredow-Werndl with Unee BB at Oldenburg. Very "easy" and obedient test without any technical issues scoring 76,560%. And again today Jessica and her Trakehner mare took the victory in the qualifier for Louisdor Preis final. Super light and expressive test with just an issue for the 1 times today, as Jessica subsequent explained as a kind of beginner nerves, as it was just the 2nd indoor competition for Dalera.

Placed second at the Louisdor qualifier was a well known horse namely this years trible European gold medal winner for Young Riders the 10 yr old gelding Carlos by Carabas / Weltmeyer ridden by Heiner Schiergen. After the ride Schiergen told that the main goal for this year of course was the Europeans with his Young rider Hannah Erbe. During last winter they were introducing Carlos to the Grand Prix exercises, but some month before the Europeans they just focused for that. Excited to follow the future steps of Carlos into the Grand Prix sport.

World Cup at Lyon

CDI-W freestyle win for Isabell Werth and Emilio showing a convincing test in Lyon today. Isabell was as usual top sharp and made clear distance to the other competitors today.

Beatrice Ferrer-Salat and Delgado were back on form and showed and effortless test. From H2R point of view Delgado just lacking some more suppleness in the body throughout the entire test.

Unfortunately Deja was not quite in the same piaffe mood today as for yesterday´s Grand Prix, but still a lovely test.

Awesome development of the piaffe for Deja in today´s World Cup Grand Prix from Lyon

Skærmbillede 2017-11-02 kl. 10.40.52.png

Few technical errors and high standard for today´s World Cup Grand Prix in Lyon

All in all a very close class today. 69% for the five lowest ranked combinations and 71% for the next four.

Seen from the buttom of the class it is a pity that French Pierre Volla and his chestnut mare Badinda Altena did not make it to the freestyle for tomorrow. An error free test with just a small issue at the beginning of his one times should have brought him into the freestyle, as his fellow countryman Ludovic Henry with After You did miss more lightness and selfcarriage throughout their test today.

Spanish Morgan Barbancon and her partner Sir Donnerhall II are getting there. Nice lightness and good balance for their test. Seems that they are developing a nice partnership in the arena, and Morgan knows where to ask for more and where she still has to wait for Sir Donnerhall. Smooth trot tour, with nice power extensions, good half passes, good passage, lack more activity for piaffe but nice obedient, superb walk tour, good canter tour where series and pirouettes still needs a bit more balance. Hopefully they will gain a lot more experience together during the next season, and then they will for sure be an active card for the Spanish team for the future.

D´Agostino and Fabienne Lütkemeier always shows their best. The 17 yr old gelding still seems to be very motivated going into the arena. And still super fit and expressive.

Cennin and Madeleine Witte-Vrees showed a strong test, but for more moments also very strong in the contact. Could be from that point that jugde at E Judet from France gave 71,7%!

Dorothee Schneider is a great rider, but today´s test was not quite a 75% test. Bit unbalanced for some moments, loosing the canter rhythmn with an error in the mid of the 2 times, and loosing the canter and balance bit out of 2nd pirouette.

Highlight of today

Highlight of today was without any doubt Kittel showing super development of the piaffes with his beautiful mare Deja. Today Kittel manage for all 3 piaffe tours to do the 12-15 piaffe steps. Nice transitions into the piaffe, but still with some tensions out, as it looks like Deja is not yet capable of using the smaller steps out. But the fact that the mare now looks much more balanced and comfortable for the exercise is just a huge achivement and development. Hat of for this kind of development in the top sport.

No "advertising" from FEI-tv about today´s live streaming

Unfortunately there was again some confusion about streaming or not streaming of today´s Grand Prix. Yesterday confirmed from Lyon organiser that there would be streaming, but unforturnately this was only available for the French viewers. And FEI-tv did not mention anything online about today´s streaming. So H2R did miss the first combination Beatrice Ferrer-Salat and Delgado doing their come-back after injury break from Beatrice, scoring 76,08% with a placement as no 3.

It always interesting to follow which new horses the international top riders bring up.

This time Dorothee Schneider shows the 9 yr old gelding Faustus by Falsterbo / Forrest xx.

Back in February Dorothee showed Faustus for the first time at Inter II national level, winning at Ankumer Dressur club, and last year she presented Faustus for the first time public at Global Dressage Forum together with Johnny Hilberath, for a Young Horse session.

Dorothee and Faustus are qualified for Louisdor Preis final taking place at international event in Frankfurt mid December.

Hvordan fungerede det nye format for DRF´s championatsfinaler?

Foto: H2R

Foto: H2R

PRESS RELEASE

Therese Nilshagen (SWE) and her fairytale stallion Dante Weltino together with Isabell Werth (GER) are the two first riders to be presented for the exclusive new competion Saab Top 10 Dressage.

-It’s amazing!  To be part of the top ten riders in the world means very tough competition, but it will be great to compete back home in Sweden and Stockholm, says Therese Nilshagen.

Top dressage rider Therese Nilshagen – Sweden’s new big star, will compete in the Saab Top 10 Dressage in Stockholm. Nilshagen, who along with black stallion Dante Weltino has taken the dressage world by storm, is now ranked among the top ten in the world. Thus she is also ready for the Saab Top 10 to compete for nearly 200 000 Euro in prize money.

Nilshagen is the girl next door, from the small village Vällingby in Sweden, who never owned her own horse. She worked at the riding school to afford to ride twice a week. Now she has gone all the way into the top of the dressage world and into the the top ten rankings.

She has educated her horse Dante herself and it was with the nice fourth and fifth places in their championship debut at the European Championships in Gothenburg this summer she seriously made a name for her self. Nilshagen also contributed strongly to the Swedish team bronze medal.

-After the European Championship we have taken some time off. Dante has got some rest and I’ve been focusing on taking a driver’s licens for trucks. But now we are in the process of training to get in shape for the Saab Top 10.

How do you think Dante will react to the large audience in Stockholm?

-He is an invidual who likes to be the center of the attention, but he has not been doing that many indoor shows this year, so I do not really know. But he’s not a difficult horse, so I’m not thinking much about it. We’re are now very much looking  forward to this show!, says Therese Nilshagen.

What will you do with the prize money if you win?

Haha, I havn’t really been thinking about the money but I really need a new car! I may try to flirt with the owners of Dante so that I can keep the Volkswagen car if we win.

Saab Top 10 Dressage

Saab Top 10 Dressage takes place over two days (2-3 December) at the Sweden International Horse Show in Stockholm. Some of the top rider will also give personal comments and advices during the national dressage competition the 1 December.

World ranking list number one Isabell Werth (GER) was the first rider to be announced for the competition.
