23 year old Charlotte Fry is ready for the big team
A remarkable debut in Aachen this weekend, not with just one horse, but three horses, small tour, CDI4 tour and CDIO5 team competition.
Aachen is the most prestigious and where some of the Worlds absolute best riders always are keen to show.
This year was the debut for the young Van Olst Horses rider Charlotte Fry in Aachen, and she made her entrance in a way that the judges, her competitors, and the very experienced audience really loved. Not only for the small tour, but also for both the CDI4 tour and the CDIO5 tour. All tests with convincing performances, showing super qualities with her top horses, and not least with overview and 100% focus all the way.
Her horses has no weaknesses and this is just the beginning of a very exciting journey for the young British rider, and today she was long listed with two horses Dark Legend and Everdale for the European Championship.
From the sideline Fry just entered the absolute elite being in a league along side Charlotte Dujardin and Cathrine Dufour.

“He was really on fire and felt like he was 4 year old”, told a very happy Dufour after her convincing winner freestyle yesterday evening.
Cassidy and Dufour scored 83,460, while Franziskus and Klimke came 2nd with 78,945%.

From H2R today’s winner were Showtime & Dorothee Schneider even with the small canter issue at transition from passage (just have a look at the comments during their tests here below), but from the judges still have 3 x 1 and 2 x 2 for Werth against 3 x 2 and 2 x 1 for Schneider.
Huge achievement for the Danish team
With the two strong young Danes and a solid performances from Jojo AZ the 2nd place at the podium was secured for Denmark today. Last time Denmark was in this league was back in the start of the eighties, where they came 2nd four times in the team competition and Anne Grethe Jensen with Marzog were individual winners twice.

British young Fry (she is just 23 year old) has for sure conquered Aachen with all 3 horses, and ones again today for the team competition with Dark Legend.

Når finalerne i Pavo og Dansk Ride Forbunds Championater for Ungheste skal afgøres i 2020, 2021 og 2022, bliver det fortsat i de smukke faciliteter hos Blue Hors i Randbøl. Tillykke til Blue Hors der har fået retten til at afvikle de populære og spændende finaler for unge heste.
Kompetente kræfter
Championatsgruppen (dressur) og Springudvalget har efter ansøgningsfristen i mandags vurderet de indkomne ansøgninger, og har valgt at lægge finalerne hos Blue Hors de næste tre år også. Blue Hors har i de forgangne år vist, at finalestævnet er i særdeles kompetente hænder hos dem. Der er særdeles gode faciliteter for både heste og ryttere og et særdeles kompetent team, der er vant til at afvikle ridestævner af højeste kvalitet - såvel nationalt som internationalt.

And it is an absolut winner horse, but today with a very conservative test, and maybe yes for 80%, but not really 82%, but Sönke cemented his team spot for the upcoming Europeans together with his team mates, Werth, Schneider and von Bredow-Werndl.

Aachen is the definite final competition for most nations before selection for the Europeans. The Germans are stronger than ever and today Dorothee Schneider and Showtime FRH showed that they will for sure be at the team, and sadly at the same time it look like Langehanenberg and Damsey will not go to Rotterdam.

Charlotte Dujardin today with Erlentanz with a strong performance and another pleasure to watch. Debut for Erlentanz at Aachen with nearly 80% makes him a strong no 2 horse for Dujardin towards the Europeans.

2nd part with top performances from both Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Cathrine Dufour
Not surprisingly Jessica and TSF Dalera BB delivered another top test. Supple power trot, lovely extensions with lengthing of the frame, super sit of piaffe tour and overall easy picture.
More new Aachen combinations with huge imprint
2nd part with more new young combinations, as Denmarks Cathrine Dufour and her just 9 year old Bohemian by Bordeaux just smashed their Aachen debut with impressive 78,413% - and still with room for improvement. The development of Bohemian has been really impressive, now showing much more correct in the frame all the way which of course gives a much more correct full picture. The qualities of the passage and piaffe tours are just outstanding and for the 2nd piaffe today the judges looked a bit shy just giving around 8 - this was definitely a more like clear 9! Even the extended walk has been improved showing more over the back walking. One day in near future this combination will be part of the exclusive +80% Grand Prix club.
Today British Charlotte Fry entered Deutsche Bank arena for the first time with the 11 year old Dark Legend. Fry looks as if she is not very impressed while she is just delivering another super performance and collecting valuable points all the way. Today with an important score of 74,435%, as the British team right now before the Europeans has 3 secure cards with Dujardin, Hester and Hughes. This test looked like Fry´s ticket for the British team in Rotterdam.
