23 year old Charlotte Fry is ready for the big team

A remarkable debut in Aachen this weekend, not with just one horse, but three horses, small tour, CDI4 tour and CDIO5 team competition.

Aachen is the most prestigious and where some of the Worlds absolute best riders always are keen to show.

This year was the debut for the young Van Olst Horses rider Charlotte Fry in Aachen, and she made her entrance in a way that the judges, her competitors, and the very experienced audience really loved. Not only for the small tour, but also for both the CDI4 tour and the CDIO5 tour. All tests with convincing performances, showing super qualities with her top horses, and not least with overview and 100% focus all the way.

Her horses has no weaknesses and this is just the beginning of a very exciting journey for the young British rider, and today she was long listed with two horses Dark Legend and Everdale for the European Championship.

From the sideline Fry just entered the absolute elite being in a league along side Charlotte Dujardin and Cathrine Dufour.

Enjoy 3 of her tests from Aachen here below:

Another super performance from Danish Dufour with her long time partner Cassidy

Fully packed Deutsche Bank Stadium for the freestyle night in floodlight.

“He was really on fire and felt like he was 4 year old”, told a very happy Dufour after her convincing winner freestyle yesterday evening.

Cassidy and Dufour scored 83,460, while Franziskus and Klimke came 2nd with 78,945%.

VIDEOS - Nations Cup in Aachen 🥇🇩🇪 -🥈🇩🇰 -🥉🇺🇸

The germans are unbeatable at the moment - two combinations over 80% and two combinations just below 80% makes them unbeatable.

From H2R today’s winner were Showtime & Dorothee Schneider even with the small canter issue at transition from passage (just have a look at the comments during their tests here below), but from the judges still have 3 x 1 and 2 x 2 for Werth against 3 x 2 and 2 x 1 for Schneider.

Huge achievement for the Danish team

With the two strong young Danes and a solid performances from Jojo AZ the 2nd place at the podium was secured for Denmark today. Last time Denmark was in this league was back in the start of the eighties, where they came 2nd four times in the team competition and Anne Grethe Jensen with Marzog were individual winners twice.

VIDEO - CDI4 Grand Prix Special for Sönke and Cosmo

Cosmo galop.jpg

It is an outstanding horse Cosmo

And it is an absolut winner horse, but today with a very conservative test, and maybe yes for 80%, but not really 82%, but Sönke cemented his team spot for the upcoming Europeans together with his team mates, Werth, Schneider and von Bredow-Werndl.

Cosmo GER - nice halt, nice diagonal bit conservative, good balance but could show more crossing and flow forward, nice passage at C, super passage and direct to extension, lack bit more bend and flow forward for half pass right, bit conservative trot tour, walk could be more over the back, bit forward 1st piaffe, lack bit more at the spot piaffe tiny hind aides final steps, good transition to canter, good half passes, super 2 times, good 1 times, late change after extended canter, good control for pirouettes, super long side, tiny forward trend final piaffe, super passage.

It is for sure a horse nearly without limits at the scoreboard when relaxed and in 100% self carriage.

Cosmo vs Bella Rose

  • Trot extensions: Cosmo - extraordinary

  • Half passes: Bella Rose better crossing with more flow

  • Passage: Cosmo & Bella Rose - top qualities

  • Piaffe: Bella Rose - at the spot effortless

  • Transitions: Cosmo & Bella Rose - both smooth

  • Walk: Cosmo & Bella Rose - both their weakest gait

  • Series: Cosmo - huge and through the body

  • Pirouettes: Cosmo - keeping the canter and quality all the way

  • Contact: Bella Rose - light and easy

Cosmo = 6

Bella Rose = 5

Interesting note

Final mark - Riders position and seat:

Sönke today: 9,0 - 9,5 - 9,0 - 9,5 - 10

Dujardin yesterday: 9,0 - 9,0 - 9,0 - 9.0 - 9,0

Therese Nilshagen always showing a top motivated Dante Weltino, in a super light frame with power.

🇸🇪Dante Weltino OLD SWE - good halt, direct forward, wauw power diagonal, does not really use the corner to go into the half passes, super supple, very nice halt and rein back, power diagonal, super passage, good into piaffe, lack bit activity for transition out, good walk tour but some tensions on and off, good passage, piaffe bit forward and lack bit more clear beat of the ground, good 2 times, power extended canter, small unbalance zigzag, bit tense 1 times, big 1st pirouette, 2nd better, power diagonal, super nice final with easy piaffe. 76,957%
