PRESS RELEASE

Münster: Thanks to a thought-through hygiene concept, the authorities approved the realization of the Westphalian main licensing. A highly interesting collection of 77 future sires will face the judgment of the licensing commission at the end of November. In order to equalize the event, the licensing will take place from Sunday, November 22, to Wednesday, November 25. There will be a division between dressage and jumping stallions. The stallion sales will take place in the form of a live auction with the possibility to bid online.

The health department and regional authorities have made a decision: The Westphalian main licensing can take place. Thanks to a good hygiene concept, the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V. has been granted permission to hold the licensing in 2020. The event is subject to strict measures and hygienic regulations. In order to equalize the overall situation on the premises, this year's main licensing will already start on Sunday noon, November 22. Furthermore, the event days have been divided into dressage and jumping. For the free jumping, as already announced in advance, the way the jumping stallions are presented was changed in coordination with the responsible committees. On Monday and Wednesday evenings the stallion sale will take place in the form of a live auction with the additional possibility to bid online. Only a very small number of visitors will have access to the area. The complete event will be broadcast live on ClipMyHorse.TV.

A total of 77 riding horse stallions will face the judgement of the licensing commission in Münster- Handorf from November 22 to 26. 49 dressage stallions and 28 stallions with a jumping pedigree are admitted to the Westphalian main licensing. The first licensing year of the Reserve Champion of the Westphalian Main Licensing in 2016 is eagerly awaited. The North Rhine-Westphalian State Stud Stallion Zoom is represented in the collection with eight offspring. The reigning Bundeschampion Secret is also well represented with three offspring in his first licensing year. The proven sires Benicio and Vitalis also have three direct offspring each. The blood of the trademark stallion Florestan I flows through his grandchildren and great-grandchildren both on the maternal side and on the paternal side in the veins of numerous licensing candidates. The famous Cornet Obolensky provides most descendents with three direct sons. Two further offspring are provided by his son Cornado I, one by his grandson Comme le père.

VIDEO - Double CDI4 victory for Henri Ruoste with Kontestro DB in Oldenburg this weekend

Superb empathy and timing

Both victories for Finnish rider Henri Ruoste and Kontestro by Contendro I / Cassini II were ridden with outstanding empathy and timing. The way Ruoste guides the young and powerful Kontestro is really impressive, all the way in super balance and very light aides. Only two minor issues for the first transition to passage with a small misunderstanding and then the final transition to trot which becomes a bit late.

2nd placed today Dorothee Schneider with Faustus. Some smaller issues and error by the 15 one times. Super light and easy overall picture.

3rd placed Danish bred L´Arbuste by Skovens Rafael / Zardin Firfod, registrated by OLD, bred by Stutteri Firfod with Senta Kirchoff - married to Henri Ruoste. Huge development and security for the just 10-year-old gelding, and afterwards also rewarded as best OLD bred horse in the Grand Prix.

VIDEO - Daniel Bachmann Andersen ready for Louisdor Preis final again

Danish Daniel Bachmann Andersen for the second time qualified for the prestigious young horse Grand Prix series Louisdor Preis, for 8-10 year old horses.

Back in 2018 Daniel won the final with Blue Hors Veneziano, and this weekend he qualified once again. This time with the just 8 year old Danish Warmblood gelding Marshall-Bell by Blue Hors Don Romantic / Michellino, bred by Tina and Nicolai Jepsen and owned by  CVL Horses.

It was the first ever competition for Marshall not being home for sleeping, so of course Daniel was very please about his first appearance at a big scene like Oldenburg this weekend.

Both the preliminary and today’s performance was with high quality piaffe and passage tours, and clearly more settled over all picture today, where Daniel unfortunately was thinking left instead of right when starting the test today. Well balanced trot tour, strong passage and piaffe tours with nice transitions and super timing, good walk, no technical issues for the canter but you still get the feeling of some “green” moments with a bit of tensions for the series and pirouettes.

Subsequently former international rider Heike Kemmer did a bit of comments about each test together with Kim Kreling at Clipmyhorse. Kemmer pointed ex out that it was a pleasure to see the rider reward/pat the young obedient horse after the very demanding exercises being thankful that the horse has been doing a great job. And Daniel did of course feel sorry for his own mistake at the beginning, but was really proud of Marshall as he was clearly more relaxed for today’s test than Thursday, and Daniel is full of hopes for the future with Marshall. “And obviously with such a young horse you need to support him as he is still not able to find the way all by himself”, tells Daniel.

Kim Kreling for the final question how Daniel was feeling about being independent and now with own business. “Business is running very well, we have a lot to do, and even more than before, but it is very nice doing my own business. I’m very happy I have really good horses and really nice clients, and I’m looking very much forward to the future with more horses educated by myself.”

Today’s results here. As today’s 2nd placed Katharina Hemmer with Signorina already qualified in Verden, Lena Waldmann and Grey Flanell will be 2nd qualified from today at Oldenburg.
