Yesterday the preliminary dressage tests were shown for the best young Spanish PRE horses at the Spanish national show SICAB.

From watching each combination and their qualities as a future dressage horse the Spanish judges unfortunately still missing the experience, and it is not always enough with an international experienced rider in the saddle like with the 4 year old winner Leal Mater with international GP rider Claudio Castilla Ruiz showing a very unsteady and unbalanced trot tour, as 5th placed Brandy Yet with Antonio José Crespin Lopez. A lovely correct moving stallion still lacking some more body strength but very nice balanced presentation.

The winner by the 5 year old former Olympic rider Daniel Martin Dockx showed a super quality stallion Vencedor JLE, this is for sure a spanish pure bred stallion for the future big sport.

6 year old with HECHICERO CLX with Alfonso Jesus Ramirez Benitez placed 5th is a lovely modern supple stallion still lacking some more strength, but showing overall nice basic qualities. Winner of 6 year old Norteño FS with Alberto Garcia Briñon-Martin showing nice collection and suspension in the trot, walk lacking more suppleness over the back, good basic canter with small changes.

7 year old Cantora de Indalo with Alejandro Sanchez del Barco were placed 3rd, a lovely light footed mare showing good overall qualities but overall impression missing a bit more clear in front of the aides.

Overall the 7 year old test for most of the horses becomes a bit difficult showing correct canter pirouettes and series.

Today the finals starts at 10 am.
