Tomorrow when the national Danish Young Horse Championships finals starts at Blue Hors it will of course be with some changes for the start lists.

Two of the 5 year old profiles are missing

The winner of this year’s Danish Warmblood Young Horse Championships Søbakkehus Maude by Hesselhøj Donkey Boy/Wilkens bred by Agnete Holmstad, owner Norcordia and rider Allan Grøn has not been at the entry list for the finals. This combination was also part of the Danish team at WCYH in Ermelo where they were directly qualified for the final and ended as no 12 in the final.

Allan Grøn about his absent from the finals: “Maude has developed with huge steps over the last 6-8 months and since she is supposed to be sold at some point, she needs to be allowed to breathe a little. I don't want to “snap an elastic band on her”, nor would I like to deliver an over trained horse to a customer due to ex intensive training for the final. This is actually why I don't ride the final, and it is of course my philosophy of training the young horse, in order to stay sound hopefully for many years”, says Allan.

No Iron

Champion stallion (by Danish Warmblood licensing) Iron by Asgard’s Ibiza / Hohenstein bred by Neergaard Dressage, owned by Helgstrand & EVO and ridden by Mette Sejbjerg Jensen were scratched at the entry list yesterday. This combination we all looked very much forward to watch, as they were missing among the German combinations for Ermelo this year. Unconfirmed rumours say that Iron has been sold to Pidgley family in the UK.

Still no foreign judges

The judging list it is still pure Danish judges for the finals. It is very disappointing that the Danish national federation (organisation behind the championships) are not able to present at least one foreign judge together with of course a team of Danish judges.

The Danish top youngsters, riders, breeders and owners deserve at least one pair of new eyes for their quality horses for the finals.

Here you find the start lists.
