VIDEOS - Jovian and Andreas Helgstrand entered the international Grand Prix scene today with impressive 77,130%

Aalborg Dressage Event started today with three international CDI3 classes: Prix St. Georg, U25 Grand Prix and Grand Prix.

The weather was not much spring like, as it was very windy with some smaller showers during the day, and for some of the horses it made quite a difference coming from the indoor warm-up arena going out into the stormy weather.

For the small tour Nanna Merrald and Blue Hors Znickers showed a super balanced test without any major issues, only a small unbalance into the 2nd canter half pass. Severo Jurado Lopez and the beautiful Fresco were placed 2nd with a strong trot tour, but some difficulties for the series. Placed 3rd was Michael Søgaard with his big boy Jukebox showing a well managed test without any technical issues. Last placed in Prix St. Georg was Danish Anne Marie Hosbond with Scarlett, recently also placed international at Kronenberg, NED.

The field for U25 unfortunately was missing more quality

Only high overall qualities for the future was showed by international U25 debut combination Danish Aagaardens Lianne and Karoline Rohmann. Even though it was equal scores with Blue Hors Veneziano the qualities seen from the side line was obvious with a clear surplus for Karoline and Lianne.

Jovian with 77% international debut

Recently Andreas showed 8 year old Jovian at national Grand Prix level with impressive 83% and of course everyones eye where on Jovian and Andreas today. Were they able to show and score at that level with an international judging panel? YES they were able to impress the entire judging panel today, as they all agreed on 77%. Just 3 x 10 for extended trot today, and no 10´s for half passes yet. Let´s see for tomorrow´s Grand Prix Special.

Helgstrand also made his international GP debut today with Queenparks Wendy with a strong performance.

Lone Bang Larsen and Thranegaardens Rostov were placed 3rd with Personal Best score 72,326%. Technical strong performance with only an unbalanced transition to canter from passage.

Daniel Bachmann Andersen does really improve his performances with Zippo M.I. everytime we see them in the arena. Today more relaxation, much better paiffe tours and really nice series, unfortunately an expensive lost of balance in the first pirouette.
