An extraordinary horse
Super debut at M-level for 7 year old stallion Blue Hors St. Schufro with new Blue Hors rider Nanna Merrald.
Nanna recently took over the reins from Allan Grøn who has been responsible for the education of Blue Hors St. Schufro.

The 9 year old mare Lionella vom Rosencarree by Londontime / Corradino ridden to victory in both the preliminary test and the final qualifier. The final qualifier won with 73,025%.
Another great field will be ready for the final in December. Both Dorothee Schneider and Kira Wulferding are qualified with 2 horses and Isabell Werth with 1 horse, and of course many other top riders with top youngsters are ready for the prestigious title.

Defending series champion and equestrian sports legend, Germany’s Isabell Werth (49), kicked off her FEI Dressage World Cup™ 2018/2019 campaign today with a convincing win with Emilio at the second leg of the Western European League series at Equita Longines in Lyon, France.
With two Technical scores over 80 percent and one Artistic mark of 93 percent, the six-time Olympic gold medallist racked up a total of 84.410 that left her well clear of Sweden’s Patrik Kittel (42) in second and Antonia Ramel (33) in third.
Werth, who took triple-gold at the 2017 FEI European Championships and double-gold at the FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) just seven weeks ago, is already aiming for a fifth FEI Dressage World Cup™ title, and her third in a row, when the series finale returns to Gothenburg, Sweden next April. However she only just managed to keep Kittel at bay in yesterday’s Grand Prix and was deeply disappointed with that performance. But with typical skill and determination, the lady who has three horses in the top four in the current World Rankings just turned it all around again this evening with a sparkling ride that left the result beyond doubt.

Great Britain’s Hayley Watson-Greaves (35) and Rubin’s Night raised the bar to 77.355 percent in the closing stages and young Spaniard, Juan Matute Guimon (21), slotted in behind her when posting 77.070 for an eye-catching test with Quantico that included a one-handed pirouette. But Werth blew that all into infinity with her massive score, and it was the two Swedes who proved her closest rivals at the end of the day.
Ramel’s 80.060 with Brother de Jeu was hugely impressive and took even her by surprise. But the talented rider who has been on two winning Nations Cup teams for her country this year has been training diligently with three-time Olympian Kittel for the last two years, and he was very proud of her this evening.
He is often coached by Werth, and earlier this week he visited her to ask her advice about his stallion, Delatio. “I was at Isabell’s on Monday because I wasn’t sure if I should take him to Lyon - but she said yes!” said the Swedish star who scored a handsome 80.980 for second place.
Talking about Emilio, Werth said, “it’s his first competition since Aachen (where he won the Freestyle and Special and was on the winning team in July), it’s his first indoor of the season and it’s a new Freestyle for him so there were a lot of new things for him to handle and I’m very happy how it went, even though there are still some details to be worked out.” She has exchanged her Freestyle programmes, with Bella Rose now doing Emilio’s floorplan while Emilio does the one designed for her WEG-winning mare. Emilio is looking slimmer and fitter than ever...

Werth plans to compete all three of her top horses during the 10-leg Western European League, and Emilio will be back in action for the next leg in Stuttgart (GER) in two weeks’ time where Bella Rose will also line out.

As co-commentator international judge Jean Michel Roudier said at FEI-tv today “Isabell Werth is able to make her own team with her top horses and still being in the medals”.
The young ones were on fire
When Werth and Kittel are at the start list it is always a very difficult challenge for the competitors. And both top experienced riders showed great performances, and with Kittels freestyle debut together with Delatio scoring nearly 81% - that’s awesome.
Spains Juan Matute Guimon with personal best score with Quantico 77,070%, Morgan Barbancon Mestre with Sir Donnerhall II showed a strong test scoring 75,880% - nearly up to her personal best, while Swedens Antonia Ramel with Brother de Jeu just stepped into the -80% league at freestyle with a 3rd place scoring 80,060%. Last time they showed freestyle was at Falsterbo scoring 74,660%.
Overall picture with a powerful and top motivated Brother de Jeu, with strong passage and piaffe tour, super nice pirouettes and nice series, and icing on the top was her very young and modern choice of music which really suits all the way.

NEWS at Helgstrand Dressage 1 November
At Helgstrand Dressage we think, it's very important to give the horses the best possible start in life. But until now we didn't have the opportunity to stable our foals and young horses before 2 years of age due to lack of space. But with the purchase of the beautiful farm, Ny Ravnstrup only 5 minutes from Helgstrand Dressage, we are ready to begin a new chapter at Helgstrand Dressage.
- We buy around 50-70 foals a year and for a long time it has been a great desire to have the foals at Helgstrand being able to give them the best conditions. With the purchase of Ny Ravnstrup we can now make the dream come true and that is a great feeling, said Andreas.
Ny Ravnstrup is only 5 minutes from Helgstrand Dressage and the plan is that the General Manager, Thomas Sigtenbjerggard and his wife, Lene Birkemose, who is managing the stallion station in Denmark, are going to live at Ny Ravnstrup.
- We are very much looking forward to run the place. The plan is to build new stables, which will house around 150 horses and in addition an indoor arena. The many hectares of land will be used to make our own hay, so that we may be able to supplement beyond what we buy. It's a big project and I'm really looking forward to getting started, adds Thomas, who at the same time sees Ny Ravnstrup as the perfect setting for him and his family.
- At Helgstrand Dressage a new era will begin with the purchase of Ny Ravnstrup. We are given the opportunity to follow our horses already from foals, giving them the best conditions by letting them grow up with other foals in a loose-housing system. They will be out every day and our competent veterinarians and farriers will make sure they get the best treatment, said Andreas.
Germany and Sweden dominates today’s Grand Prix
Even though it was far from Isabell´s best ride with Emilio she still managed today’s win. Before entering the arena she just had a few reminding piaffe tours for Emilio, but that seemed to have made him a bit to hot, as she was not able to keep him relaxed for the entering halt and started out with a 38% trend, but from there it was just a small error for the 2 times and tiny issues during the test.
Successful debutant
Never seen a combination making their debut together at World Cup, but today Swedish Patrik Kittel just showed how to do that with the experienced 14 year old Delatio by De Niro. The Russian owner Elena Knyaginicheva has moved Delatio from Kasselmann to Kittel in order to be sold.
Kittel and Delatio showed a very harmonious test without any technical issues, and they really seems to fit each other perfectly. Many nice things along the test, with highlight for the entire canter tour, and as Kittel told after his ride “it´s such an amazing horse and there is so much more to give.” Delatio is former ridden and showed internationally by British Emile Faurie.
Both Dorothee Schneider and Antonia Ramel showed great performances.
Placed on 5th spot Spanish Juan Matute Guimon with Quantico and Hans Peter Minderhoud with Zanardi, smooth test with nice control all the way.

Anemone Horse Trucks Stallion Competition Dressage
The Stallion Competition is a unique opportunity to see young approved- and selected stallions in action. This is of great value to many breeders prior to the breeding season: quite often the choice for a stallion is made at the stands of stallion competitions. The competition aims to give breeders and other interested parties insight into the stallions’ performance potential.
Participation
In early winter, the Stallion Competition takes place, which draws a large audience. It is a unique event in which approved stallions from European studbooks compete against each other in dressage and jumping. The Stallion Competition’s goal is to give breeders and stakeholders an insight in the performance capacities of the KWPN-stallions. The Stallion Competition is the unique opportunity to see the young and approved KWPN-stallions in action. This is of great value to many breeders prior to the breeding season: quite often the choice for a stallion is made at the stands of stallion competitions. This competition is held in three different locations across the Netherlands. The final takes place at the KWPN Stallion Show in ’s-Hertogenbosch.
Horses which meet the following requirements may compete in one or more classes of the Stallion Competition:
Stallions approved by the KWPN, KWPN-NA, NRPS, or an EU-recognized studbook for warmbloods with the primary breeding goal of producing jumpers and/or dressage horses and whose registered party is a current member of the KWPN
OR
Stallions born in 2011 or later which have been selected for the KWPN performance test and which meet veterinary requirements for admission to the test and whose registered party is a current member of the KWPN.

When World Cup from comes up from Lyon Thursday morning starting at 8:00 with the Grand Prix it will be available via FEI-tv, like the World Cup freestyle Friday at 16:00.

Queenspark Wendy by Sezuan / Blue Hors Soprano with Søren Wind won today’s qualifier at region 4. Like yesterday the judges rewarded once again the great “Sezuan canter” with a 10.
Norwegian Kristin G. Andresen also became a major player at this years HANN stallion auction as she purchased two very attractive stallions, but Kristin was also the with the second last bid for the top price stallion sold at 2.010.000 euros to Helgstrand & Schockemöhle.
Kristin Andresen has for many year been working together with the Danes Ib Kirk, Kathrinelund and Noagaard v. Sophie & Jan Christensen (rider of Hesselhøj Donkey Boy), and of course both will be part of the further development of the new premium top stallions.
No 56 by Dimaggio / Sir Donnerhall I was purchased for 570.000 euros.
No 49 by Danicer / Wolkenstein II was purchased for 120.000 euros.
Helgstrand / Schockemöhle purchased both most expensive stallion no 97 by Vivaldi - Dancier for 2.010.000 euros and 2nd most expensive no 78 by Lord Leatherdale - Boston for 800.000 euros.

First event this year for the 4 year old Danish Warmblood horses was at region 7, Hjallerup northern Jutland today, and the first participants for the final are qualified.
A total of 35 young horses will be qualified for the final.
The final takes place during Danish Warmblood stallion show 6 - 10 March 2019. As part of the final the best 24 horses will again in 2019 be tested by Swedish international top rider Patrik Kittel.
Another horse from CVL Horses sold out of Denmark. This time the 5 year old Danish Warmblood gelding Spot On by Sezuan / Solos Carex.
Spot On was among this years young horses qualified for Danish Warmblood Young Horses Championship in Herning.
Spot On is one of a total of three horses sold to Australian Terry Snow, sponsor of Grand Prix rider Brett Parbary.
Spot On has already left CVL Horses and will soon start the long journey to Australia.

From watching the presentation by hand this morning you were able to watch every single stallion with quite sharp eyes.
How does the stallion enter the arena? How does the stallion balance on the slippery surface? How does the stallion carry himself? How is the contact in the bridle? How is the stallion reacting all the way?
And with subsequent lunging you get the best possibilities to see a more clear picture of the stallion. The natural frame, the balance and not least the canter quality.
