Debutant direkte ind som nr. 2 i CDI3 Grand Prix i Compiégne / Debutante direct into 2nd place in CDI3 Grand Prix at Compiégne (UK version below)

36 starting in today's CDI3 Grand Prix from Compiegne in France, and with more debutants without technical errors.

Today's first start was (almost Danish) Swedish Anna Blomgren Rogers with the 9-year-old Danish Warmblood silver medal mare Tørvenslettens Quattro. It was their international debut and therefore also new for the International judging panel.

The couple starts out with a good first extended trot, and good balance in trot half passes. A little tense rein back, good transition from extended trot to passage. Super easy and effortless and yet sharp picture of piaffe and passage - without tensions, and it was not only the first one. It was all 3 piaffe/passage tour, not quite honored by the quality, with a maximum of a few 8 marks each time. The two times series with some tensions but with good well executed changes for the series. The zig-zag canter might have been with a bit more balanced. Good one times and good balance in the pirouettes where the last one gets a too little big. Super nice and expressive final of the centerline. What a debut! The only thing about this debut was the marks from jugde at H American Anne Gribbons who unfortunately only saw the performance as ranked for 22th place with just 67%. Clearly a test closer to 72% than the result of 69.6%. Placed as number 7.

With Danish eyes start no 3 was a very exciting new combination, Anna Zibrandtsen and her new dance partner, the 12-year-old KWPN stallion Arlando. And it became a debut dance show of the very special. Both nice in quality as also at test without technical error in the difficult Grand Prix program. The extra "small" detail, it was not only their debut as a new combination but actually also Anna's very first ever Grand Prix test. What a performance!

The test itself was very well-considered and well-balanced - a little conservative, but certainly a picture that one only could wish for as a debut. Beautifully entering halt, light and expressive trot half passes, a little tension for halt with rein back. Super nice piaffe / passage / transitions floating with nice lift and push from the ground. The series good, but where one could wish for a little more expression. Great control of good quality pirouettes. Super final at the centerline where you definitely could not see any kind of debut performance. The pair ends as number 2 with 71,680% and seen with Danish glasses a victory worthy.

Today's winners were routine Helen Langehanenberg with her big young Suppenkasper. Many good qualities along the way, but also several moments where it looked like that Suppenkasper did not stay completely straight from behind.

Patrik Kittel also made his international debut with the super elegant mare Well Done de la Roche CMF. The only 9 year old mare is by Fürstentraum / Walt Disney. Light footed in the trot with a tp nice expression in a light contact, super nice power relaxed passage and nice piaffe with good lift and nice beat. Lots of positive power and quality throughout the entire canter tour. Unfortunately, again, a mare with qualities that did not match American American Gribbons kind of top qualities. The couple ends as number 6 with 69.660%. A mare like Kittel himself obviously already loves, and is of course part of his own "squad" of horses towards Tokyo 2020.

Even though Diederik van Silfhout has lost the ride of Arlando, he is already ready for a replacement. The 13-year-old gelding Four Seasons by Fürst Piccolo / Mon Cheri is also a debutant internationally today. Lots of quality and power along the way, and again a flawless debut test. The couple ends as number 5 with 70,560%.
