More than a hobby

I’ve loved horses for as long as I can remember. What’s more, thanks to football, I’ve been able to turn this hobby into something more. AT the SR4 Stud Farm my passion for horses and Andalusian culture are combined thanks to a brilliant team that I’m sure will continue to achieve a lot of success. Whenever I can, I go there, to the country, where I take a break in a place I really love. In this video, I show you up close.

4. Fem 1-3. placeringer i min. Intermediaire II/150 cm’s klasser (endelig bedækningstilladelse).

5. Indeks blandt de 10% bedste i springning (min. 132) eller dresssur (min. 126).

At finde sammen bedst muligt

Atterupgaard Botticelli now also approved for Norwegian Warmblood

Recently the 5 yr old Oldenburg approved stallion Atterupgaards Botticelli by Benetton Dream / Caprimond / Donnerhall came 2nd at Danish Warmblood Young Horse championship in Herning, where test rider Dorothee Schneider gave the very positive stallion 9.0 for ride ability (easy light contact, good transitions and easy to place) and 9,5 for capacity (gives a very nice feeling - a horse for the future big sport).

Wonderful Werth and Weihegold take World Cup Dressage title by storm

When she’s got her game face on, you ain’t messin’ with this lady. But this evening the sometimes seriously scary world no. 1, Germany’s Isabell Werth, really let her hair down during the prizegiving ceremony after clinching her third FEI World Cup™ Dressage title in Omaha (USA). Drenching American runner-up Laura Graves (29) and third-placed British star Carl Hester (49) in a fountain of champagne she celebrated big-time on the podium.

“It’s special to win again after ten years, to come back with a different kind of horse and after a really great season. I’m very happy and I’m also thankful, because I know what it’s like to be downstairs, and I’m really happy and grateful to be upstairs again!”

Werth has indeed experienced all the highs and lows that accompany a long and extraordinarily successful career.

The undisputed doyenne of the sport, and the most decorated equestrian athlete of all time, was last into the arena and chasing Graves’ target score of 85.307 with Verdades. The American created a frenzy of excitement when finishing her test with a spine-tingling extended trot - “I wanted to add a little surprise today and I think it paid off, and the crowd loved it!” she said after raising the roof of the Centurylink Centre.

But Werth and the mare with which she claimed Olympic team gold and individual silver at the Rio Olympics just cruised through a fabulous Freestyle full of grace, poise and elegance for the winning mark of 90.704. Hester too was happy with third place. “I think he gave his maximum so I can’t be disappointed when he did his absolute best” he said of his horse Nip Tuck who scored 83.757.

Result:

1, Weihegold (Isabell Werth) GER 90.704

2, Verdades (Laura Graves) USA 85.307

3, Nip Tuck (Carl Hester) GBR 83.757

14 riders from 11 nations (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Netherlands, Russia, Switzerland and USA) competed in today’s Freestyle at the FEI World Cup™ Dressage 2017 Final in Omaha (USA).

The first man to win the title was Germany’s Sven Rothenberger, with Andiamo in ’s-Hertogenbosch NED in 1990 - female riders have otherwise dominated the top step of the podium.

The first athlete to compete for Argentina at the FEI World Cup™ Finals is Maria Florencia Manfredi riding Bandurria Kacero who finished in 13th place.

The Netherlands has recorded the greatest number of wins in the series with a total of 13. German riders have taken the title 9 times while competitors from USA and Switzerland have each won it twice.

Laura Graves USA - 2nd

“I didn’t realise how badly I wanted to win. I said on Thursday I’d give it a run for the money, and today I thought Oh I want that so badly, but finishing second to the no. 1 in the world still feels a lot like winning. This is my first time on a podium as an individual and that was very special. I won’t forget it, that’s for sure!”

"Nip Tuck is so thin because he hasn’t eaten for a week. He’s really missing Valegro who he’d normally be travelling with and when he’s not there he frets. He has no-one to grab hold of but he’ll have to get used to it. He’s been eating hay at least, but you need some petrol to do these competitions. Alan (his groom) has had to hand-feed him for the last few days.”

Clipmyhorse today with streaming from Blue Hors and Lövsta Stuteri with Helgstrand Dressage guests

Danish Stud Blue Hors presented a huge collection of very nice stallions including a couple of very nice offsprings from both Zalabaster and Blue Hors Farrell.

All the stallions were well prepared and well behaved (a couple of the young ones became a bit over excited when the audience started applauding, but the riders stayed in the saddle).

Very nice final when Daniel Bachmann and Allan Grøn were showing Zack and the Zack son Zatchmo together.

Swedish Lövsta Stuteri presented their stallion collection in Helsingborg today, with guest visit from Helgstrand Dressage with 4 stallions Valverde, Springbank II, For Emotion and Grand Galaxy Win. All 4 stallions shown in a superb way, commentated along the presentation by Thomas Sigtenbjerggaard from Helgstrand Dressage.

After the presentations Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén told that her Benetton Dream was not presented due to an operation. He was injuried last fall but recoved well at went to Wellington where she successfully competed him, but when he came back the injury was back so they decided to do an operation. He has recoved well from the operation and now he just need to get slowly back to work.

Both stallions shows are available via the archive at Clipmyhorse.

Queen Isabell reigns supreme in Dressage Grand Prix

She’s 47 and formidable, an exquisite horsewoman and a long-time legend as the most medalled athlete in her sport. Despite a few glitches in her performance with the fabulous mare Weihegold today, Germany’s Isabell Werth won the opening Grand Prix at the FEI World Cup™ Dressage Final in Omaha, Nebraska by a comfortable 2.5 mark margin when scoring 82.300..

“I’m completely happy, but I’ll have to calm my horse down before Saturday because she got so excited in the prizegiving!”

Werth includes five Olympic and three World team golds amongst the massive medal haul she has accumulated during her amazing career. She also has two FEI World Cup™ titles under her belt, the first collected 25 years ago in Gothenburg (SWE) and the next in Las Vegas (USA) in 2007, and she’s hungry for a third.

But it isn’t going to be a walk-in-the-park because the home side’s Laura Graves (29) was breathing right down her neck today when posting the runner-up score of 79.800 with Verdades, and is bidding to become only the third American ever to take this prestigious title.

“I think anything is possible!” Graves replied confidently when asked if she thought she could beat Werth in Saturday’s medal-deciding Freestyle to Music competition, and she has to be taken seriously after finishing fourth at the Rio Olympics with this horse who was so difficult as a youngster that she almost gave up on him.

Britain’s Carl Hester (49) finished third with Nip Tuck and will be another strong challenger on Saturday when just 14 of today’s 16 starters will line out. New Zealand’s Wendi Williamson and Dejavu MH were elminated when blood was found in the horse’s mouth post competition and Hanna Karasiova (BLR) and Arlekino failed to make the 60% cut-off mark.

Result:

1, Weihegold (Isabell Werth) GER, 82.300

2, Verdades (Laura Graves) USA, 79.800

3, Nip Tuck (Carl Hester) GBR, 76.671

FULL RESULTS can be viewed here

Facts and Figures:

16 riders from 13 nations (Argentina, Australia, Belarus, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Switzerland and USA).

A total of 194 human and 215 equine athletes have competed in the four FEI World Cup™ Dressage Leagues, aiming to qualify for the Omaha Final.

The winning rider, Isabell Werth, is a multiple champion and two-time FEI World Cup™ Dressage title-holder.

There will be 16 participants in the FEI World Cup™ Final 2017. Title holder Hans Peter Minderhoud (NED) is not competing in Omaha as his horse Glock’s Flirt was lame on the day of departure (25 March). Jessica Von Bredow Werndl (GER) also withdrew from the Final after her horse Unee B developed colic at the airport in Amsterdam prior to departure.

Isabell Werth GER - 1st

“I was well prepared but you never know what to expect! It was my fault we made mistakes in the two-tempis but I always felt safe. It wasn’t easy at the start of my test though because the crowd went crazy when they announced Laura’s score!”

Laura Graves USA - 2nd

“I came here to win, and to finish second to Isabell today feels a lot like winning! It’s my second World Cup Final, we competed in Las Vegas (in 2015) and this has proved how much my horse has developed over the last two years, he felt very honest and I’m very excited about competing on Saturday!”

Carl Hester GBR - 3rd

“I always give my horse an easy ride in the Grand Prix so that he’s perfectly rideable for Saturday. I don’t expect to be too far behind on Saturday.”

OLD saddle licensing - results

From following the live stream from today´s saddle licensing in Vechta the three premium stallions were correct selected. From H2R point of view no 60 by Vivaldi / Samarant also looked liked a premium stallion - super supple but still lacking a bit more self carriage of head and neck.

Congratulations to Danish Lone Bøegh Henriksen, HP Horses with her own bred HP Damian with his very famous grand dam Weihegold OLD.
