Isabell delivers everytime - also for today´s World Cup freestyle in Stuttgart with Weihegold OLD

FEI-W-Cup-D-logo-300x189px.png

Werth just keep on doing her things

When watching Werth at nearly all international competitions during an entire year you actually never see her fail. And if thought for a second that her position could be in a kind of danger for today´s freestyle - you were just absolutely wrong.

Werth is just doing was she is best at WINNING!

Top 3

Weihegold GER - spot on piaffe / passage tours, well balanced half passes, good walk tour, small error front for 2 times, superb double pirouettes, 360 turn piaffe pirouette - just AWESOME!

Sammy Davis Jr GER - dancing tango theme suits very well, well managed and beautiful expressive test.

Damsey FRH GER - very electric passage and piaffe tours, super extended walk, half passes trot lack bit balance, bit on the toes for collected walk, 1st canter pirouette not successful unfortunately an expensive mistake. Strong final.

Strong tests

Superb World Cup freestyle debut delivered by Fabienne Lütkemeier and her just 10yr old Fabregaz. The longlegged gelding was playing very obedient along all the way, and the test from Fabienne did definitely not lack of difficulty as if it was for a "beginner". They finish with impressive 78,190% as no 5.

Swiss Marcela Krinke-Susmelj and her long time partner Danish Warmblood Smeyers Molberg were strongly back on track today, from a not so strong Grand Prix yesterday. More power and suppleness combined with good double pirouettes made it to placement as no 12 today.

Spanish Morgan Barbancon and her stallion Sir Donnerhall II seems to develop from competition to competition at the moment. Today they finished 10th a head of much more experienced combinations.

Today the co-commentator at FEI-tv together with John Kyle was British para Olympic gold medalist Natascha Baker. She brought in many nice comments during the competition.

Stallion Gala in Vechta - many interesting young stallions to follow in the future

Atterupgaards Botticelli and Severo Jurado Lopez

Atterupgaards Botticelli and Severo Jurado Lopez

Attractive stallions for tonights Oldenburger Stallion Gala in Vechta

Helgstrand Dressage was represented with 4 stallions, Atterupgaards Botticelli, Farrari OLD, Revolution and D´avie.

First stallion from Helgstrand Dressage was 5 yr old Danish Warmblood stallion Atterupgaards Botticelli by Benetton Dream / Caprimond / Donnerhall with Spanish Severo Jurado Lopez in the saddle. Severo and Botticelli has recently become a combination as Helgstrand purchased half of Botticelli from Stud Atterupgaard. This is for sure a combination you have to keep an eye on, as the stallion shows his outstanding qualities under Severo.

4 yr old Revolution is a true revolution - no doubt this big framed boy is an outstanding top mover, and watching him under Helgstrand himself they look like a couple for the future. And not least going into this intense arena seems to just bring the best out of him.

D´avie and Severo Jurado Lopez

D´avie and Severo Jurado Lopez

Last Helgstrand stallion to go tonight was 5 yr old D´avie with Severo in the saddle. This stallion is right now transforming to a pure athlete under Severo, and at the same time D´avie looks much more confident.

Other stallion stars

First Selection by Follow Me / Lauries Crusador xx from Lodbergen still shows super qualities under Lukas Fischer, alway uphill with a lot of suppleness. The sharp eyes could wish for at bit rounder canter from behind.

Baron by Benicio / Sir Donnerhall is showing something spectacular, but at the moment it just looks like that he still needs more strength from behind to be able to carry and push correct from behind all the time. An interesting stallion to follow for the future.

Secret by Sezuan / St. Moritz did not disappoint his fans. Swedish Jessica Lynn Andersson showed him in the best way. Lots of power and expression and 3 outstanding gaits. There are for sure a lot of breeders out there waiting even more to see his foals next year.

PRESS RELEASE

Three new top riders ready for the new competition Saab Top 10 Dressage

Helen Langehanenberg (GER), Severo Jesus Jurado Lopez (ESP) and Inessa Merkulova (RUS) are all ready for the new modern dressage competition and CDI5* "Saab Top 10 Dressage" in Stockholm, Sweden.

"I'm so proud of this competition. It will be absolutely amazing, says Swedish top rider Patrik Kittel, who is one of the brains behind the new concept Saab Top 10.

Langehanenberg, Jurado Lopez and Merkulova will join an already star-studded field of riders where, among others, the dressage crown princess Cathrine Dufour (DEN) will challenge the queen and world ranking list number one Isabell Werth (GER).

Through Saab Top 10 Dressage, Sweden International Horse Show is creating a new modern dressage competition designed to give the audience the greatest possible experience.

“We want to give clearness to the sport and more glamour and festivity to the audience. This concept allows the audience to really get to know each and every one of the ten riders "says Kittel.

Saab Top 10 Dressage has the world's highest ever prize money in dressage (158 000 Euro + a Volkswagen car) and that amount will almost double next year. Sweden International Horse Show (SIHS) is already known for having a different concept than most other international shows, and has the largest indoor audience in the world.

“SIHS has a very modern frame with its large LED screen and at the same time a story of delivering both top stars and show to the sport. The concept with short and easy to grasp competitions serves as a perfect basis for developing the dressage", says Kittel.

Saab Top 10 Dressage

Saab Top 10 Dressage, CDI5*, is open to the ten best riders in the world. It takes place over two days (2nd - 3rd of December) during Sweden International Horse Show in Stockholm. The competition includes Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle. Some of the top riders will also give personal comments and advice during the national dressage competition on December 1st.

Missing some of the top stallions for the archive from lunging of Oldenburger stallions yesterday

Skærmbillede 2017-11-17 kl. 09.38.27.png

Remember the dressage stallions starts with catalog no 40.

Unfortunately there is no video from catalog no 70 by Gray Flanell / Licotus (from Schockemöhle), no 71 by Londontime / Danone I (new stallion at Blue Hors) and catalog no 74 by Sandro Hit / Fürst Heinrich (from HP Horses). From eyes direct at the sideline they all 3 looks like Premium candidates.

Link HERE.

From yesterdays lunging the stallions below showed something extra:

No 47 - Diamond Hit / Fürst Heinrich

No 53 - Finest / Christ

No 57 - Follow Me / Sir Donnerhall I

No 59 - Fürstenball / Donnerhall

No 79 - Wild Child / Florencio

From H2R point of view the absolute top spots goes to no 47 by Diamond Hit / Fürst Heinrich or no 59 by Fürstenball / Donnerhall.

Championship finals for Spanish PRE horses (videos)

Skærmbillede 2017-11-15 kl. 19.03.27.png

Best Spanish horses stands out

From following the Spanish Copa ANCCE championship finals for 4 yr, 5 yr and 6 yr old horses today the overall picture was pretty clear - the winner stood out.

There were clearly quality differences from today´s winners compared to all the other finalists.

From each year the winnners were showing 3 good gaits with the trot as the best gait, and the canter as the weakest. Well ridden and well presented winners.

In general the biggest challenge for the Spanish horses looks like the canter, as you also see the same picture when showing the horses by hand and judging of the confirmation (morfologicos) where the horses in general lacking more volume, carriage and balance for the canter.

Tomorrow is 7 yr old final where Olympic rider Daniel Martin Docks is favorite for the title with the outstanding Ataturc Duc. They looked super smooth and relaxed for today´s small training.

SICAB starts tomorrow

Small summary from Sunday´s competitions at Blue Hors Dressur Festival

Julianelyst pro rider Dennis Fisker winner of MA2 small tour

Small tour MA2 victory for Dennis Fisker (Denmarks new jr/yr team coach) with 11 year old Rosenstolz by Rospon / De Niro with 71,491%. Rosenstolz owned by malaysian Quzandria Nur, and recently successful at Southeast Asian Games winning both team gold and individual gold, and trained by Dennis Fisker from Julianelyst in Denmark. As Quzandria now expecting her first child Dennis Fisker has taken over the further education and showed Rosenstolz with two victories this weekend at Blue Hors Dressur Festival.

Rosenstolz looks like a very exciting horse with lovely balance and expression for the trot tour, and shown with good contact all the way. The walk becomes a bit tense. Superb canter tour with very nice series and lovely sit and balance for the pirouettes, eventhough Dennis seems to get into the pirouettes in quite a high tempo, it does not affect the quality of the pirouette. Only small issue was a small canter for the shoulder in at right.

Pernille Pilborg and Hoelgaards Armani at European Championship in Roosendaal 2017 - photo H2R.

Young Rider Pernille Pilborg and Hoelgaards Armani was place 2nd today. They have just ended their Young Rider year, where they were part of the team at the Europeans in Roosendaal, and are now working towards U25 level.

Placed 5th today was pro rider Mette Svare Ehlers with Zacksusme. A lovely light test in a good frame with an overall easy picture, but unfortunately with an error for the 1st canter pirouette. Some disagreement from the judges placed 5 - 10 - 3!

Success combination Quarton and Anna Kasprzak continues their winning streak

Bundgaard Byg winner 2017 Anna Kasprzak with Quarton (photo by H2R from Equitour 2017)

Bundgaard Byg winner 2017 Anna Kasprzak with Quarton (photo by H2R from Equitour 2017)

Today´s final was an Intermediaire I freestyle, and Kasprzak and Q (Quartons stable name) were showing an expressive and powerful test. Today Anna was just asking and Q looked as if he was just waiting for the question. Super obedient and with high quality - well deserved winners. Before the final Anna got a bit ahead of the music and made just a small volte before continuing for the final halt where the music stops.

2nd today was Nanna Merrald with Gørklintgårds Quaterboy also with same bloodlines as Quarton, with Quaterback as sire and Don Schufro as damsire. Super sharp test with lot of power and lovely balance troughout the test. Huge changes and superb quality.

3rd became Daniel Bachmann with Blue Hors Veneziano. Supple test but with some smaller issues.

For sure this top 3 will be horses for future big sport.

Small Grand Prix freestyle with just 4 combinations

Rock Star and Anna Kasprzak during Equitour Aalborg 2017 - photo H2R.

Rock Star and Anna Kasprzak took the Grand Prix freestyle victory

Seen from the "sideline" the difference between Anna and 2nd placed Daniel Bachmann with Blue Hors Zepter was not as big as nearly 3%, while Anna had some difficulties especially at the end of the test to get the music to fit into the test and it became some kind of "messy". Technical wise the piaffe becomes a bit too much forward today. They finished with 79,042%.

Daniel Bachmann and his young Blue Hors Zepter showed a good test, but still with some small insecurities, but much more settled for the piaffe / passage tours as we saw them lately in Herning. Exciting couple to follow for the upcoming season. Result 76,292%.

Blue Hors with stallion presentation Saturday afternoon (video)

Saturday afternoon was with the presentation of some of the Blue Hors stallions during the national event Blue Hors Dressur Festival.

The first stallion Zagori by Zack / Sir Donnerhall II / Don Schufro was the most attractive 2.5 year-old stallion. Zagori is right now in preparation for the upcoming Danish Warmblood stallion selection. A young stallion with format and nice model that seems to move active off the ground.

Also the stallion selected for the NRW licensing by Zack / Florencio looks like an exciting young horse.

The other youngsters, also a couple selected for NRW and OLD licensing, generally seems to lack more stallion expression and power.

The 5-year-old Zalabaster still thinks it's a bit "dangerous" to be in his own arena when the music plays, while Farrell seems to be more settled together with Allan Grøn.

The stallion Dreamline is stationed at stud in Germany, and he was shown by Swedish Jenny Johnson. Dreamline stays stationed in Germany and 14 yr old Hotline, who was shown by hand will for the next 3 seasons be stationed at Landgestüt Warendorf.

De bedste to i 2. afdeling

79,280% CDI4 Grand Prix comeback for Showtime FRH and Dorothee Schneider (video)

Showtime.jpg

At 9.00 Dorothee Schneider and the 11 year old super horse Showtime FRH made a very impressive comeback today after 1 yr injury break.

Smooth and powerful trot tour as we know them, good walk tour where Dorothee for the first 5 meters at the beginning of the extended walk struggling a bit, as Showtime will not really take the forward search through the body towards the hand, but after the 5 meters he starts marching. Good canter tour with highlights of the pirouettes, one times with a small error in the mid, and throughout the canter tour Dorothee seems to encourage Showtime to keep he nose in front of the pole.

2nd became Ingrid Klimke yet again with an international Grand Prix debut, today with the expressive 9 yr old mare Geraldine. Smooth and effortless test in nice harmony, with good series and pirouettes, and where you just can wait for a bit more strength for the piaffe and passage tours.
