The Brits in shopping mood

Oldenburg elite foals are in great demand worldwide – the Brits especially were in a buying mood and secured no less than ten Oldenburg youngsters at the 31st Elite Foal Auction at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta. On average, Oldenburg fans paid 13,000 euros for their Oldenburg young talent. More than a third of the auction foals were knocked down to Oldenburg friends around the globe.

The nephew of Dante Weltino OLD Las Cruces by Las Vegas - Vivaldi - Welt Hit II stood out as the top-priced foal. With a knockdown price of 67,000 euros, the movement-genius colt received the top bid. Las Cruces is bred by Olaf Bahls from Voigtsdorf, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The stallion prospect was sold to an international dressage stable in Great Britain. His dam Ronja is sister to the top sire and Swedish championship horse Dante Weltino OLD/Therese Nilshagen, SWE. Granddam Rihanna is sister to Riwera de Hus, Olympic participant in London under Jessica Michel, FRA.

Valentin by Va Bene - Sir Donnerhall I - Depardieu, bred by Ulrike Finck-Deichner, Homberg, Hesse, and exhibited by GestütWäldershausen, Homberg, became the second most expensive foal in the collection. For 26,000 euros, the picture-perfect dancer will remain at a dressage stable in Germany. Dam Escapade is sister to Ennigaldi, who already brought auction price top Marco Polo by Marc Cain for 110,000 Euros as well as to former auction horse Egalina de Luxe, who is successful in Great Britain. From the renowned mare line of Egale/Egatine: The Grand Prix horses Elisienne/Nicki Grandia, USA, London Eye OLD/Simone Kruse and Oldenburg champion stallion Don Deluxe.
