Preliminary Prix Sct. Georg Special winner Anabel Balkenhol with Crystal Friendship
British Emile Faurie and Lollipop winner of CDI4 Grand Prix Special today in Hamburg
Emile Faurie and Lollipop winner of Deutsche Bank Preis, Grand Prix Special in Hamburg
Victory for Faurie and Lollipop in today´s Grand Prix Special with 74,843%
Solid test with good qualities along the way, bit of tensions for the piaffe tours, but supple easy look for the rest of the test. Well deserved victory, and an important closer steps towards the british team for the Europeans, which at moment looks like safe spots for Carl Hester and Spencer Wilton, and with more combinations for the other team spots.
Right now Gareth Hughes with Classic Briolinca or Don Carissimo, Hayley Watson-Greaves with Rubins Nite, Richard Davison with Bubblingh and now Emile Faurie with Lollipop looks like the strongest cards.
4th became Fabienne Lütkemeier with her just 10-yr-old Fabregaz. Also today missing a bit of the former natural go, and with some smaller issue for the piaffe tours. Looks a bit like the very tense atmosphere made the young Fabregaz a bit hind the aides.

Isabell Werth solid in top of today´s CDI5 Grand Prix at Munich
Score board might tell that Dorothee Schneider with Sammy Davies jr. were quite close to Werth, but from the sideline, Werth was ones again massive in her own league - this time with Don Johnson. Victory with 78,900%, which Dorothee scores 76,600% and Hubertus Schmidt with Imperio 3rd with 74,200%.
H2R twitter about Don Johnson and Sammy Davies jr:
The window is very open now
Without Desperados and Showtime for Germany there are obvious two "free" spots for the up-coming European Championships in Göteborg this summer, and of course the performances counts every time, and even more for the combinations just outside the team.
Strong test from Bernadette Brune with Spirit of the Age. Bernadette taking calculated risks and all the way with Spirit playing along.
Renata Vogelsang and Royal Happiness are showing real nice qualities together, unfortunately the piaffe tours are still lacking more security and Royal Happiness does not really play along, and of course this affects both the piaffe and the transitions. Today also with an error by two times series. All other parts looks quite easy and effortless.

No Sezuan and Dorothee Schneider at start this weekend in Munich
Eventhough Sezuan was the the entrylist for this weekends Nürnberger Burg-Pokal qualifier in Munich he will not be at start. A statement from the owner Frau Jasper-Kohl and professor Edwin Kohl says that because of Sezuan´s very busy job as a breeding stallion, they have chosen not to try to qualify him this year, and instead his training with Dorothee Schneider will be concentrated for the future Grand Prix sport.

Opvarmning vil foregå i ”Den gule hal”.

Huge nations cup Grand Prix today from Compiegne in France
British Spencer Wilton and Super Nova II delivered an impressive test. Seen from outside the "white fence" it looked as if it could be a bit of a challange, as Super Nova looked kind of tense.
But from start till final salute Spencer kept the control, just with a small issue by the turn of the first passage from the long side towards the piaffe, but Spencer manage to keep it all very well under control for a very nice 1st piaffe tour and nice transitions. Good walk tour, active smooth 2nd passage/piaffe/passage, bit tense transition to canter. Huge expressive two times series lovely balanced, like uphill expressive one time series. Good balance for zig-zag canter, bit tense pirouettes. Smooth easy powerful final.
From H2R point of view this horse is a clear 9 mark for the paces. Elastic, supple, with lots of freedom for the trot, relaxed extended walk with good use of body, clear active collected walk and quite outstanding qualities of all the canter work, whether it is collected or extended exercises. And when looking at marks for rider it could also easily be a clear 9 mark. Spencer sit quiet and using easy light aides throughout the entire test. Fully deserved individual best from today´s class with 75,320%.
Best Dane today was Rikke Svane with Finckenstein TSF, individual placed as no 4 with 73,160%. Superb enterance, good power, well balanced half passes, good halt with rein back, good piaffe/passage tours, good walk tour, good series, and super well balanced pirouettes. Really easy over all picture.
Unfortunately Danish Anders Dahl and Selten HW were very differently judged. Placed 6-18-23-7-3, from 66,8% to 74,6%!
Swedish Kittel and Deja looked very good today - they actually always does, but especially also from the piaffe point of view. Impressive trot tour with lots of expression and power. Lovely passage and good 1st piaffe, good walk, 2nd piaffe is also good but with few steps, an error for the two times series, nice control, sit and quality for the pirouettes. Final centerline succesful with super passage, 12 steps of piaffe and lovely halt. Score 72,320%.
Team top after Grand Prix:

CDI3 Grand Prix debut victory for Danish Warmblood stallion Skovens Rafael with Lotte Skjærbæk (video)
Yesterday at Kristiansand, Norway the 13-yr old Danish Warmblood stallion Skovens Rafael and his owner and rider Lotte Skjærbæk made their international debut and won the class with 70,8%.
Helen Langehanenberg and her just 9 year old Suppenkasper were in a league for themselves today. Super overview and quality, the very young age despite. The couple provided a technical test without errors, and overall with a good overview all the way. Final score 74.294%.
Again today, the debutant in today´s Grand Prix Special Anna Blomgren Rogers surprises with the Danish Warmblood mare 9-year-old Tørveslettens Quattro by Quaterback / Carano. The couple enters the centerline a little tense towards halt, but with a good halt and from there super nice trot / passage tours, great extended trot and well balanced half passes. Even from the sideline it gets really exciting as Quattro really looks like she near the limit, or at least gives an expression of maximum power, but at the same time Anna retains calm and and all made in lovely balance. Good walk tour, super first piaffe, with activity from first step and easy forward into power passage. Good transition to canter. Good zig-zag canter, where the final change becomes a real "here's just a change BAM". The series are with tensions and swinging but all 3 series are without errors. Good control in the first pirouette, while the next one becomes a bit hurried. Transition to trot and then there is EXTENDED trot without hesitation. Super nice expressive final through the middle. Power smooth passage / piaffe / passage including the transitions.
From H2R point of view this combination looks like a serious bid for new young squad members direct into the Swedish team. But it will definitely be an even clearer picture over the next couple of months, with several more rounds of experience for both horse and rider.
Unfortunately, H2R did not see Anders Dahl and Sir Donato in today´s Grand Prix Special but the couple ended as number 5 with 67,078%.
Unfortunate situation
Unfortunately, Anna Zibrandtsen and Arlando could not bring yesterday's beautiful Grand Prix experience into today´s Grand Prix Special. Nice start and very well through the trot / passage program. The first piaffe tour looks a bit like Arlando does not quite agree on the piaffe, and he becomes very tense with a bit of resistance. The next piaffe is also somewhat tense and unbalanced, and immediately after the couple has started their canter tour, judge at C British Stephen Clarke rings the bell and stops Anna. Unfortunately, Arlando has bitten himself and they were eliminated.
Subsequently, Anna Zibrantsen tells that it was the last part for the final warm up at the 10-minute areba along with the gray mare Tørveslettens Quattro, where Arlando lost a bit of focus. A situation that Anna obviously was not prepared for, and thus unable to handle optimally before it was time to go into the main arena. Very unfortunate and just not the best situation for their Grand Prix Special debut.
Nordic International sales: A collection of foals to be proud of
Nordic International Sales have now almost completed the selection of premium dressage foals, and there has been a huge interest in the auction from both breeders and buyers.
So far around 20 premium dressage foals have been selected for the auction Nordic International Sales sponsored by Stud EVO, which will take place during Equitour in the first weekend of June.
The selection has been made in a cooperation between Danish Warmblood auctioncommittee, Westfalen Verband in Germany and Andreas Helgstrand.
”We are extremely proud of the foals we are able to show at the auction, and at the same time impressed by the number of foals fullfilling the requirements for a future top sport horse in dressage,” Andreas Helgstrand says.
“It has been amazing how Danish and German breeders willingly have shown us their foals and granting us their trust in our capability to create an auction, where they can sell their foals at prices living up to their quality.”
For the people behind Nordic International Sales it has been of the utmost importance, that the auction is founded on a wide cooperation between Equitour, Danish Warmblood and Westfalen Verband.
”The cooperation is very important and has proved itself with a collection of foals focused on the future sporthorse without considering the association or the sire,” Andreas Helgstrand says.
Breeders in both Germany and Denmark has shown great interest in Nordic International Sales, and the same applies to the huge network of buyers around Andreas Helgstrand.
“A huge interest for the auction has arised, and I hope the auction will be very enjoyable, with foals sold at high prices,”
About the auction
Nordic International Sales sponsored by Stud EVO will take place in the evening of Saturday June 3rd during Equitour Aalborg at Helgstrand Academy. The collection of foals are sired by Asgaard’s Ibiza, Borsalino, Bossanova, Don Deluxe, Dream Boy, Floriscount, Franklin, Franziskus, Revolution, Sir Heinrich, Totilas, Vincent Maranello and Vitalis.

Debutant direkte ind som nr. 2 i CDI3 Grand Prix i Compiégne / Debutante direct into 2nd place in CDI3 Grand Prix at Compiégne (UK version below)

36 starting in today's CDI3 Grand Prix from Compiegne in France, and with more debutants without technical errors.
Today's first start was (almost Danish) Swedish Anna Blomgren Rogers with the 9-year-old Danish Warmblood silver medal mare Tørvenslettens Quattro. It was their international debut and therefore also new for the International judging panel.
The couple starts out with a good first extended trot, and good balance in trot half passes. A little tense rein back, good transition from extended trot to passage. Super easy and effortless and yet sharp picture of piaffe and passage - without tensions, and it was not only the first one. It was all 3 piaffe/passage tour, not quite honored by the quality, with a maximum of a few 8 marks each time. The two times series with some tensions but with good well executed changes for the series. The zig-zag canter might have been with a bit more balanced. Good one times and good balance in the pirouettes where the last one gets a too little big. Super nice and expressive final of the centerline. What a debut! The only thing about this debut was the marks from jugde at H American Anne Gribbons who unfortunately only saw the performance as ranked for 22th place with just 67%. Clearly a test closer to 72% than the result of 69.6%. Placed as number 7.
With Danish eyes start no 3 was a very exciting new combination, Anna Zibrandtsen and her new dance partner, the 12-year-old KWPN stallion Arlando. And it became a debut dance show of the very special. Both nice in quality as also at test without technical error in the difficult Grand Prix program. The extra "small" detail, it was not only their debut as a new combination but actually also Anna's very first ever Grand Prix test. What a performance!
The test itself was very well-considered and well-balanced - a little conservative, but certainly a picture that one only could wish for as a debut. Beautifully entering halt, light and expressive trot half passes, a little tension for halt with rein back. Super nice piaffe / passage / transitions floating with nice lift and push from the ground. The series good, but where one could wish for a little more expression. Great control of good quality pirouettes. Super final at the centerline where you definitely could not see any kind of debut performance. The pair ends as number 2 with 71,680% and seen with Danish glasses a victory worthy.
Today's winners were routine Helen Langehanenberg with her big young Suppenkasper. Many good qualities along the way, but also several moments where it looked like that Suppenkasper did not stay completely straight from behind.
Patrik Kittel also made his international debut with the super elegant mare Well Done de la Roche CMF. The only 9 year old mare is by Fürstentraum / Walt Disney. Light footed in the trot with a tp nice expression in a light contact, super nice power relaxed passage and nice piaffe with good lift and nice beat. Lots of positive power and quality throughout the entire canter tour. Unfortunately, again, a mare with qualities that did not match American American Gribbons kind of top qualities. The couple ends as number 6 with 69.660%. A mare like Kittel himself obviously already loves, and is of course part of his own "squad" of horses towards Tokyo 2020.
Even though Diederik van Silfhout has lost the ride of Arlando, he is already ready for a replacement. The 13-year-old gelding Four Seasons by Fürst Piccolo / Mon Cheri is also a debutant internationally today. Lots of quality and power along the way, and again a flawless debut test. The couple ends as number 5 with 70,560%.

Facebook update from Danish Agnete Kirk Thinggaard today
"My beautiful Orthilia has unfortunately been injured Tuesday being in the paddock.
A bad twisted fetlock has unfortunately put her "on hold" this summer. 😢 It's very annoying and I'm so sorry, but that's what's happening. We prioritize that all our horses are in paddock every day, and unfortunately it causes a risk of acute injuries like this one. 😔
But horses must also be allowed to be horses and we must live with that risk. Unfortunately, it means a goodbye to this summer's dreams and goals with Orthilia."
