Both KWPN reserve champion and no 5 owned by Helgstrand Dressage

Today´s reserve champion by Franklin / Jazz is owned by Helgstrand Dressage, and again Helgstrand purchased another top stallion at the KWPN licensing.

This time Helgstrand made his decision before the final Championship ring and purchased the very well moving Expression / Ferro / Goodtimes stallion. The stallion became 5th at the final championship ring.

Looking forward to see this top quality boy in Herning at Danish Warmblood licensing taking place from 7 - 11 March.

Governor sons with nice qualities and surprisingly Glamourdale / UB40 was not selected for 3rd round

4 stallions selected for championship ring:

357 - Dark Pleasure / Gribaldi - looks like a Champion

376 - Dream Boy / Kennedy

454 - Ferguson / Vivaldi

553 - Governor / Rousseau

No further participation for Glamourdale / UB40 stallion

The lack of lunging of the stallions might have been the reason why the big framed stallion by Glamourdale / UB40 was not selected.

Interesting to compare this licensing with the recent licensing in Munich where both a Fahrenheit and a Sezuan son were lacking some balance when showing them free, but as soon as they were shown by the lunging it was clear that they were both very nice balanced with good selfcarriage  for the riding frame.

Today´s "winner" at the KWPN licensing is with pure German bloodlines

Super mover with top expression by Fürst Fohlenhof (Fidertanz/Mephistopheles ) x Lissaro van de Helle. Fürst Fohlenhof was NRW Premium stallion 2012 and Bundeschampion 2013.

Unfortunately KWPN does still not show their stallions by lunging which only gives you the impresssion from presentation free and by hand.

As this stallion is not Dutch bred he will not have access for the Championship ring.

Two intensive KWPN days comes up - starting tomorrow at 8:00

Fremtidige starter i udlandet

In May 2017 Atterupgaards Orthilia substained an injury with a bad twisted fetlock from a paddock accident.

Now the 13-year old super mare has fully recovered and Agnete is looking very much forward to show her back at the competition. And at the same time Agnete also tells that she will of course just try to show Orthilia as easy as possible without any pressure, as she still needs her fully strength before asking for more.

Their come back is scheduled for the Danish national competition at Hedensted, taking place from 8 - 11 February where they will be at start in the Grand Prix.

End of November 2017 Agnete Kirk Thinggaard got the 9-year-old approved stallion Blue Hors Zatchmo by Zack / Donnerhall at her stables. He is former ridden and educated by Blue Hors rider Allan Grøn who showed Zatchmo successfully at small tour level, and at Blue Hors stallion show Allan also showed Zatchmo´s qualities for the big tour level. Agnete is very excited about Zatchmo and his qualities for the future, and will also bring him for the event at Hedensted to show him at small tour level.

Blue Hors rider Daniel Bachmann Andersen is also ready to show Blue Hors Don Olymbrio again after a long competition break, like Daniel is also ready to show the 8-year-old approved stallion Blue Hors Veneziano by Vivaldi / Donnerhall at Intermediare II level for the first time.

For Danish Anna Zibrandtsen it will also be a come back event at Hedensted, as she has not shown the now 13-year-old approved Oldenburger stallion Detroit since 2014 where he sustained an injury. Detroit and Anna will be ready for Intermediaire II.

Also Alibi D former international shown at Grand Prix by Sidsel Johansen is back at competition. He will now be shown at small tour level by Lotte Straarup.

Pressemeddelelse

I 2016 red hun OL for første gang.

DufourClub åbner for tilmeldinger d. 1 februar.

FEI PRESS RELEASE - Germany’s Werth and Weihegold are awesome in Amsterdam

Glock’s Zonik shows so much promise for Dutch runner-up Edward Gal; Germany’s von Bredow-Werndl rockets up leaderboard when clinching third

Defending series champions, Germany’s Isabell Werth (48) and her magical mare Weihegold OLD, cruised to victory at the sixth leg of the FEI World Cup™ Dressage 2017/2018 Western European League in Amsterdam (NED) this afternoon. The dynamic duo floated through their Freestyle test to post 88.540, almost a full percentage point more than their winning score at the third leg of the series on home ground in Stuttgart in November.

The capacity crowd packed into the RAI Arena included stars of many other sports along with Dutch royal family member Princess Margarita, Countess of Colorno, who is a Board Member of the show organisation, Jumping Amsterdam. But it was the German Dressage queen who claimed centre stage when pinning the home side’s Edward Gal (47) with Glock’s Zonik into second, and her compatriot, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl (31), into third with Unee BB.

"Weihe was really fantastic today, I can’t describe the feeling of this power and collection, she’s like a metronome - we can do whatever we want! The atmosphere in the arena was electric so I had to be careful because she was very hot. She produced really magnificent piaffe/passage, but I stopped breathing in the collected walk because she was SO ready for the canter!"

Isabell Werth GER (1st)

Last to go she was chasing the super leading mark of 81.860 produced by Gal and his exciting young stallion who really settled to his job today. “It’s five weeks since we finished third at Olympia (London) and there is a visible improvement” said the man who claimed the FEI World Cup™ Dressage title in 2010 with the great Totilas. This was just the third Freestyle test for the 10-year-old Zonik. “He’s getting stronger and stronger and more motivated, suddenly we are making big steps forward and I have high hopes for him for the future!” he added.

As Werth rode into the arena, her compatriot Jessica von Bredow-Werndl was just leaving after posting an impressive 81.195 with Unee BB who couldn’t take his eyes off Weihegold. “The older he gets the more powerful he gets - I think he’s going through a second youth, he certainly had plenty of extra energy today!” said von Bredow-Werndl of her 17-year-old stallion. And today’s result has moved her up to second place on the Western European League leaderboard behind Sweden’s Patrik Kittel who once again wowed the crowds with a great performance from Deja to finish fourth.

As title defender Werth doesn’t earn points at the qualifiers but must compete in at least two legs of the Western European League with the horse she intends to take to the Final in Paris in April and with two in the bag, and both winning ones, with Weihegold she is now turning her attention to her back-up ride, Emilio who topped the line-up in Lyon in November. “Obviously Weihe is my first choice, but Emilio will go to the last two qualifiers in Gothenburg (SWE) and ’s-Hertogenbosch (NED)” she explained. She’s missing the next leg on home ground in Neumunster in three weeks’ time due to another commitment but she has her fourth FEI World Cup™ Dressage title clearly in her sights.

Asked today how she is feeling ahead of the 2018 Final which will take place in the French capital from 10 to 15 April she replied, “I’m happy but I never say I’m confident, that’s not my way. This is sport, you never know what’s going to happen so you always have to stay awake!”

Isabell was ones again unbeatable with a well polished and sharp test together with Weihegold OLD, showing the high quality piaffe and passage tours.

But today´s absolute highlight without any doubt was Gal with his Danish Warmblood stallion Zonik. Today they showed a more safe and obedient test without any technical issues. Nice piaffe on the spot, with nice transition and expressive passage. Superb extensions and top class walk tour, super nice well balanced pirouettes. Nice series where you could wish for a bit more clear forward flow.

Can´t wait to follow this pair towards the next big Championships.

See the entire results here.

Some other H2R comments during the class:

Weihegold and Werth - so much experience bringing it into the arena EVERY single time. Small tension from walk before transition to canter - clear series today. Winner with 88.540%

Damsey and Helen were really strutting their stuff together - what a lovely pair. Super power and balance, superb frame, very little "work" up their for Helen today - easy aides all the way - pleasure to watch, just until the tongue suddenly became visual after the walk tour - what a pity - Helen retires, not much to do.

Deja and Kittel were dancing through their "Isn´t she lovely" freestyle. Swing, power and expression - every step suits the beat from Stevie Wonder (small error for 1 times series)

Svært at avancere væsentligt i et World Cup felt over de to konkurrencedage

- 15. februar.
